  4. Looks like a Mack fan's Funland! Let's schedule a BMT roadtrip and picnic to Winrock. Jim
  5. Excellent! Maybe you can get with the owner and swap some stories on #146. Jim
  6. The only way these days to get another element is to go out and get another complete assembly off another truck. Please explain what has happened. Did the inside get damaged somehow? If the oil bath element needs to be cleaned it is done by washing down with kerosene or solvent and flushing all the junk out. Jim
  7. My thoughts to you and your family. Jim
  8. Excellent! I like the single axle green R model. Jim
  9. Got Smores! I've got a friend who is on the local VFD and about 10 years ago they had three fires pretty close together and all burn down hard. He was telling me about them and it was a combination of bad access, lack of hydrants or water sources and structure that were old and very dry. He said that the should be renamed "Cellar Hole Savers".
  10. That's no fun. How bad does it look? Front or rear?
  11. Gee, she doesn't look guilty. Half of the title is okay.....
  12. Man, some days are sure better than others. Jim
  13. Mack of course! #2 Chalmers rubber block.
  14. Randy, you need to get out of the HEAT and get yourself over to the Kilt to chill. When you get there, give me a call so I know you are there..... So I can scoop up that mighty fine wrecker!
  15. I was watching it before it become the Spanish station! Maybe 1975?
  16. Could also check pricing at places like Tractor Supply for straight grade oils. Jim
  17. Sounds like everything has been checked except the kitchen sink! Has this problem just come on all of sudden? Is the problem the same under power or coasting? Worn spring pins and bushings would wear over time, but by the list that would be the next item to check. How is the rubber in the carrier bearing mount? It can look good without dry cracking and be too spongy. That might give the driveshaft a chance to whip a little. Jim
  18. Interesting ride! Green would be better indeed. JIm
  19. Yup, like the RM6856. Jim
  20. That's a good one Mike. That MH shuttled LOTS of trailers for Spag's. I remember the tv ads for Spag's on channel 27. Jim
  21. That's not the only odd thing..... Oooops, sorry. Couldn't resist! Jim
  22. Like I said, a DM6856 is a Maxidyne powered DM with six wheel drive. DMM could be six or eight wheel drive. Jim
  23. You know the deal, we need some pics of your new toys!
  24. I use a product called Power Service. They have products for different temps and something called 911 when things are really gelled up during the winter. Use it in Mack as well as a Detroit 671. Jim http://www.powerservice.com/default.asp
  25. Now that the tank is off. How does the frame look? Hopefully, no surprises! Jim
