  1. Dick Kemp had a large outdoor collection of trucks in Hillsborough, NH. It was mostly Mack trucks. It was open to anyone that wanted to visit. When he passed away, the family had a large auction and the collection was disbanded. I have an ED that Dick owned and Skip McKean's LF and tanker were purchased from Kemp before he passed. Gary Mahan and Daryl Gushee purchased many trucks at the auction. He was the definition of being a character and always fun to see what he was up to next. I have posted a bunch of pictures over the years on BMT. Here is an obit. Richard A. Kemp Richard "Dick" A. Kemp, 76, of Hillsboro died Sept. 7, 2007, at home after a brief illness. Richard was born April 2, 1931, in Hillsboro, the son of Samuel and Evelyn (Davis) Kemp. He was a member of Hillsboro High School's class of 1949 and served in the U.S. Army during the early '50s, stationed in Germany. Richard worked for many years in the construction business as a bulldozer operator for various companies, including Manchester Sand & Gravel, Audley, Perini & Midway Construction. He spent many winters working for Raymond Daniels. Dick was best known for his rare collection of antique trucks, which he began collecting in 1964, and which became known worldwide as Kemps Mack Museum. Items from his collection have been used as show pieces and featured in the movie "The Brinks Job." Since he started the collection it has grown to over 130 vehicles. He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Davis Kemp; lifelong companion, Lorraine R. Cabana; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Samuel Clement Kemp, and brother, John Nelson Kemp. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home, 32 School St., Hillsboro. A funeral service will take place Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Hillsboro Rescue Squad, PO. Box 350, Hillsboro 03244. _________ Here a couple links. I will take a few minutes but maybe I should put all my Kemp pictures into one thread. https://www.facebook.com/kempsmackmuseum/ https://www.bigmacktrucks.com/gallery/album/903-kemp39s-truck-museum/
  2. Took a couple roads I haven't been on in a while. Saw a couple of Autocar dump trucks, the remains of a Twin Coach delivery truck and a bear. Bears can run really fast!
  3. Looks good from here!
  4. Nice! It's OK, I am sure Swishy had all the proper paperwork.
  5. The trailers are still good for weekend work!
  6. Couldn't say. It isn't mine. I thought it made a good picture with a small trailer parked out front at the Worcester Sand and Gravel Show.
  7. See what the have to say. https://liteflex.com/
  8. I said it is a Koehring 1066 and to bring the BIG trailer....
  9. Sounds and looks good Mike. I know you will find a suitable new owner for the pup.
  10. Back at a time when Mack put "Mack" on everything to do some promotion and advertising.
  11. Sounds good! A candidate for some preservation repairs. Glad it didn't go under the torch. When the price of scrap was high, LOTS of stuff came out of the woods and back pastures.
  12. Careful! Could be a bad place to park.
  13. Excellent Bob! What is the history behind it? Company? Do you know of future plans?
  14. OK.... You are working on a space dog???
  15. Big Mack Trucks member 70mackMB AKA "Hippy" has a treasure trove of trucking and transportation memorabilia. He pointed out a red pen he found at Macungie while searching for new items to add to his collection. Kemp's Mack Museum has since been disbanded but for Mack fans it was one hell of a place to visit. Nice memento from days gone by!
  16. This Brute got a ride to the show. Offset cab LM with modified fenders and a supercharged Cummins in the engine room. Model LMSWL 6 X 4 Chassis No. LM 2 DL 2454 D
  17. Stylish rig for doing some lifting and odd jobs.
  18. You could try Atro. https://www.atrobushing.com/search?torque_rods=OEM+Torque+Rods
  19. Sounds Good! No farms, no food.
  20. 4800 is a pretty low number so I would speculate 1954-55. Museum can get the exact info. Weight of the truck chassis is probably about 11,000 lbs.
  21. Showtime does look good during a quick perusal . I am behind on some projects so I haven't looked at WOT yet or Showtime except for the "Mack" section.
  22. Looks Great! Interesting to see the tandem and long rails. Maybe used as a service/lube truck?
  23. Just got my Showtime magazine and saw that the Dog was well represented at the Reno ATHS Convention by BMT members Mackdaddy and AZB755. Both brought multiply gorgeous trucks to show folks what good Mack trucks look like.
  24. Great looking truck! You may have to open up the transmission and get a gear tooth count and give a holler to your local Muncie or Chelsea distributor for correct application.
