  1. Time to pack a lunch and take a drive in the country!
  2. You must have bought a high performance hen's teeth detector. It has only been 17 hours since you posted your question! Showing it at Macungie?
  3. That is KooL! I will have to put that on my Must Do list.
  4. Must be pretty important to go all the way to San Diego to take a walk... Pack a bag, the Boston Marathon is on Monday!
  5. Hey Pat, No good answer for you. They have become like hens teeth. Bores was the oem manufacturer. Bores still makes the fender guards for other brands but not Superliner. A DIY project for the boys in the shop using some 304 stainless sheet, shear and metal brake? The last pair of Bores Superliner fender guards new in the package sold a couple years ago at $225.00.
  6. Could very well be. I recognize the shape of the tank but I never looked to see what the tank number was and then correlate it with the truck. I will see a friends rig in a couple weeks that has the tanks and I will see what the tags show.
  7. Have fun looking around.
  8. Not really sure beige is your color.....

    Mack A40

Yup, getting flipped alright. $8,000.00 Have a nice day... https://www.ebay.com/itm/1951-Mack-A40-Truck/323774639927?hash=item4b6278ef37:g:snAAAOSwG8Zcr6Yg
  10. You're in good shape, 1/8th toe in is the factory spec.
  11. Sorry to disappoint.....???
  12. I have seen that style used on Mack L and LT models. Age is approx late 40's to early 50's.
  13. A pair and a spare! https://www.ebay.com/itm/MACK-TRUCK-Spalding-Tennis-Balls-set-of-3/173869859632?hash=item287b738330:g:ZpoAAOSwfiZcrxgB
  14. A tree service company now owns it. I don't know much about them. Certainly the Mack and pup trailer sure hauled a LOT of wood in this area over the years.
  15. There is a spin on coolant filter base available from NAPA if you ever want to change to it. Filters can be had in different charge levels of DCA to combat corrosion that occurs in the water. NAPA base is FIL 4019. NAPA water filter 4070 (0 DCA), 4071 (4 DCA), 4072 (6 DCA) for example. Hopefully you can get the oem air filter box back on the truck or an extension to get your existing filter away from the turbo. No need to suck in more hot air.
  16. Yup, doing stuff by pictures is not the best. Probably was quite the dog in the day with some period customizing and modifications. What does it have for a motor? Does it run? I see an off brand air axle out back. Does the frame splice look like a good job? L cabs can collect a lot of water sitting outside so the lower back of the cab and the base of the windshield sheet metal can suffer greatly Repairing properly can open a huge can of worms and cost $$$$. Maybe $2,500. See what the owner throws out for a figure.
  17. That is a beauty! I am in that area about once a year and don't recall seeing it.
  18. Looks OK driver. Water is a touch high for an unloaded rig but could just be some gunk in the radiator not allowing it to cool to its maximum efficiency. See how it goes into the summer. After a few trips, could always change the water filter again. Cut the old water filter apart and see what sort of crud it has been collecting.
  19. It is quite the plate of spaghetti.
  20. Time for some goats to clear the brush for more dogs.
  21. Couple fairly local rigs seen today. One getting topped off with diesel. Two working with a crane outside an electrical substation.
  22. Making a delivery of new Mack LFT trucks.
