  1. Photo from a 1984 Mack RD brochure.
  2. Cummins powered Autocar. Very big truck for 1938. Shown at Macungie in 2014.
  3. Yup, a cab would be nice on days like this. Maybe on the next rig!
  4. I like it! Bought the MF 1533 new in 2005 and it has performed as hoped and anticipated. Other than one hydraulic cylinder being redone under warr., nothing but scheduled maint. has been needed. It has been as reliable as an anvil. Still has the OEM battery! Pretty good for almost 14 years. I shopped Kubota, Kioti, Mahindra, JD, Ford NH and Branson and felt that Massey gave the best bang for the buck. Don't keep up with all that is happening with new tractors but I believe around 2013 or so, more emission gear was mandated on small tractors. Hopefully this has not caused as many issues as when Class 8 trucks have new mandated equipment and all the associated issues. One source for a mega load of compact tractor info for all brands is TractorbyNet. https://www.tractorbynet.com/
  5. As I look out my window this morning, I probably should have bought this RM off Craigslist a couple years ago. Oh well, time to fire up the Massey.

Baker's dozen tape measure? The one foot mark is at 13 inches...
  8. Over the model run there was some variation in some specs, but this is a basic look. B73 - Cummins NH 220 and NH 250 HP B733 - Cummins NT 250-280 HP turbo motors B75 - Mack END 673 170-180 HP, also END 711 after 1962 B753 - Mack ENDT673 205-210 HP turbo motor B755 - Mack END 864 250 HP V8 motor B77 - Supercharged Cummins NHRS B773 - Cummins 335 HP turbo motor
  9. Took this pic in 2000. Fresh paint on the B. A Ford H model "Two Story Falcon" is next door.
  10. Good looking project! Ask away with any questions. Nothing wrong with pos. ground electrical systems. I have a couple trucks that are positive ground. That is how they were built, that is how they will stay. You will want to rewire your truck due to the age of the wire. All the wire insulation will be FUBAR. A new harness is cheap insurance.
  11. Some common sense in the shipping dept would be nice. Ooops! Sorry, I fell into Fantasy Land.
  12. Mack CL Elite 500 HP
  13. DOT 3 brake fluid would be the closest to the original spec available today. DOT 4 could also be used and it has a higher boiling point. Both are glycol based. I would use the DOT 3.
  14. I took a picture of the air six speed X107 sticker that I would like but I haven't checked to see if a vinyl shop could reproduce it. Hmmm... it has only been about 8 years. Haven't found the stickers available anywhere. Possibly find someone to take a picture of their 12 spd sticker and try for a repop?
  15. Ratio is stamped with "Carrier Assembly Number". Right front of housing.
  16. Excellent!
  17. I have never seen it but it sure looks ahead of its time for the late 50's. Being a prototype, it probably had various components tried and evaluated. I had never heard that the V8 was installed! I was thinking of the linkage or air actuated cylinder needed for the Duplex transmission. I would image that the Duplex got swapped out to an automatic transmission in later years.
  18. Does it look like this? If so, the NAPA # is NMC M2842. Used on Diamond T's and Internationals. https://shop.industrialbrakeandclutch.com/BRAKE-MASTER-CYLINDER-1-3-4-BORE-FE777-M284249.htm
  19. Last I knew Watt's had them. For various Mack and non mack projects, I have been able to match up sizes for the glass run channels, whiskers, rubber bumpers, weatherstriping, etc. through Restoration Specialities. Purchased items for both the DE and the B with L cab and quality is very good. http://www.restorationspecialties.com/ Noticing the size of the work stall, I will have to wait outside...
  20. Very nice addition to the fleet!
  21. Here is a picture of the bus when it was called MV39. http://articles.mcall.com/1999-08-06/news/3264861_1_tour-bus-greyhound-lines-bus-for-several-years https://www.bluehoundsandredhounds.info/barscen.html#mack620 Built with a Duplex transmission! Two sticks, no waiting...?
  22. Heavy duty hauler on Cape Cod. Kodak Instamatic picture circa 1977.
  23. Had a chance to check the truck on Friday. Chassis was built 8/18 and the date identifier in the VIN is K which indicates a 2019 model.
