  1. A little Dodge, a little Chevy, a little Ford,...
  2. I would be OK with Elmo in Congress. He would probably be better than some of the puppets there now...
  3. Production lasted through 1988.
  4. Barry uses the 45735 code. https://www.bigmacktrucks.com/tutorials/article/45-b-model-interior-green-paint-code/
  5. What brand is the fan clutch? Does the truck have or had air conditioning?
  6. I had a B833 with the wide radiator with round top running a 335 HP Cummins. More water capacity helped keep things cool.
  7. It has been a day or two since this Mack AB tanker was out and about.

  8. Mmmmm..... hen's teeth. Rear axle is a Clark and for the ED and the DE models you had choice of 5.12, 5.57 or 6.33 ratios. 5.12 on 17" rims will do about 45 mph without making the engine huff too badly. I am sort of toying with the idea of putting a Gear Vendors overdrive into the ED milk truck if I live long enough. Will keep my eyes peeled for two 5.12's. One for me and one for Victor.
  9. Happy Birthday Rich!
  10. The pump has to come off. To keep the truck rolling and making money, a reman or new could be bolted in. It may be as simple as removing a retainer to change the shaft seal to stop the leak. Won't know until it is removed.
  11. You have a project! Guessing that may be a Holmes 750? There is a Classic Holmes Wrecker page on Facebook. Never checked it out because I'm not on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/Classic-Holmes-Towing-Equipment-370250746336348/ Holmes is part of Miller so an email to them may help with info. https://www.millerind.com/brands/holmes Also you could check with the International Towing Museum. https://internationaltowingmuseum.org/
  12. Looks Good! Electric start is a nice addition.
  13. Crazy fad! I give them credit for the artistic skill to pull off the look. It is funny to have a complete rat trap and then you see $6,000 worth of Brembo brake calipers inside the wheels! Soooooo Paul....... when is your new Ram being done?
  14. Nah. The parts are out there or reasonable replacements. A little scrounging will round them up. Check with beatngu as Paul suggested. Over the weekend, folks will check in on the site and may be able to assist.
  15. Put on a large element filter instead......? Sorry, couldn't resist! I don't have the items you need but agree returning to the OEM is a good idea compared to that lawn mower filter on there now.
  16. Truck looks Great! Spare parts are always nice.
  17. You could check out the Mack Museum and Keystone Truck and Tractor Museum. The ATCA Show at Macungie always has a huge variety of trucks to look at.
  18. There was a good write up of the High Binders owned by High Binder.
  19. Hippy rode along with son Rick to the show. The ride was probably better than taking the Mack MB.
  20. A couple of Superliners from the Granite State Show.
  21. I have heard that there can be less corrosion in the electrical system using a positive grounds. Never really looked into that bit of trivia. Worked on both positive and negative ground vehicles and if all the bits are in good shape, both have performed equally well for me. If I had your truck, I would probably go with 12 volt negative ground and remove the series parallel switches.
  22. Heavy spec and equipped with a loader and bunks for hauling logs with power supplied by a CAT 3406. R-754's were built between 1978-1985. A RD-754 was also produced between 1979-1983.
