  1. I call aftermarket parts NORS. New Old Replacement Stock. It does depend how deep you want to go. Most manufacturers don't actually make parts. Vendors make parts to the specifications of the manufacturer. So whose part is it? Mack or Sheller Globe (cabs) to Mack specs? Ford or TRW to Ford specs? NOS or vintage NORS is better than the vast amount of restoration items made offshore.
  2. It is a dark dreary day here. Maybe it is where you are as well. Hopefully posting some bright yellow will help your day! FJ1C1084D. FJ's were manufactured between 1938-1943. This is #83 of 322 units produced. Beautifully restored and shown at Macungie 2018.
  3. Best of luck with your new equipment and job well done by Don Holden and crew!

  6. Good point about the emblem rust streaks. It looked like louvers!
  7. Yes, hens teeth. I have been searching to make a set for a long time. Ending up making an 8 piece set out of brass so everything would match and will probably have to do the same on the milk truck.
  8. Nice sign! Looks like the truck image was based on Bob Marshal's 1931 Mack AC .
  9. Looks to be an Autocar. They had a fender that had the splash shield running forward in conjunction with the butterfly hood. The louvers are some sort of an add on. Autocar used flat hood sides.
  10. Thought about the lead picture and curious if the H-67 was previously owned by Harry Muhlschlegal from NJ?
  11. Friend's manual says 3 degrees BTC at the flywheel.

  19. Check diagram on page 16. http://www.suspensionspecialists.com/techinfo/Bendix_Brake_Handbook_2009.pdf Some folks have taped in with a small fitting for an airline to the dash for running a dual needle air pres. gauge to keep track of the secondary air tank as well as the primary tank.
  20. This Baby Mack is ready for work parked next to its big brother Mack M-18 mining truck at Macungie.
  21. Took me a few minutes also. It was nice in years past to have different colors or paint designs represent various businesses. Now, the majority of rigs seem to be painted in "Universal Fleet White".
  22. I should be able to get the timing degree info for the gasser from a friend when he gets back from vacation.
