  1. Uugghhh... gout. Nearly at the top of the list for the worst pain ever! Sounds like a bad week with all that tarping. Stay hydrated! When you don't sweat is when you are in BIG trouble.
  2. Sounds good! I will have to stock up on popcorn.
  3. Top of the timing gear housing in front of the injection pump. Check out the picture in the seventh post above dated Nov. 1. As noted, if it came out of a COE the back of the block will be stamped just below the rear head.
  4. Handsome Boston based hauler on display at Macungie.
  5. Have a set and they seem to stay down pretty well. Weigh about 7 or so lbs per flap.
  6. Cummins NHCT Custom Torque had 900 @ 1200 rpm.
  7. The RD was larger and slightly thicker frame material. R 9" X 3.25" X .250" RD 10.62" X 3.25" X .312"
  8. Yup, tail end of the line. Here is some previous discussion. https://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/25131-mack-legend-series-r-model/
  9. Having the records for your truck is excellent. You can always circle back on the mystery of the numbers. Who doesn't like a little intrigue!
  10. Here is a picture. Stamped on the outside of the rail. The hole on the right is where the bulkhead fitting goes for the air line to the front brakes.
  11. Mack introduced the Superliner in 1977. Same year that the Bison and the GMC General were unveiled in the class 8 market.
  12. Joe, what is your recollection on the engine deal?
  13. The CT was initially the answer to the Maxidyne. The CT was replaced by the PT 270 for Huskidrive duty. I remember seeing a 1973 and a 1974 Huskidrive that had PT 270's under the hood. No one really had the answer for the Maxidyne!
  14. Huskiedrive started out with a Cummins NHCT-CT. CT was for Custom Torque (248 HP). Not positive on the time frame, the Cummins PT 270 came along and was under the hood for the Brockway. PT was for Power Torque.
  15. Like most racers, it probably has already been spent getting to the next event!
  16. You're correct. It was dash mounted.
  17. Still like the cab and prefer the old style hood more.
  18. Huskidrive was introduced by Brockway Trucks in 1968. It utilized a high torque rise Cummins in conjunction with a Fuller 5 speed transmission with Eaton 2 speed rears (5.05/3.70 ratios). Power or economy at a flip of the switch. A truck with Huskidrive featured two Husky dogs on top of the hood. The Huskidrive was in competition with the Mack Maxidyne system which had been introduced mid decade. Brockway Trucks was an autonomous division of Mack since 1956.
  19. I drooled looked over the Superliner at Macungie in 2015.
  20. 1989 was the last year of production. This truck was probably registered in 1990 and was written for that year. The R suffix indicates a right hand drive model with production continuing into 1990.
  21. Built from 1970-1979 with 2,144 units produced. Powered with a 325 HP Maxidyne 865 V8.
  22. Looking mighty fine!
  23. You can buy them here. 3 designs available. https://www.etsy.com/listing/496809573/mack-truck-shift-pattern-t-shirt
