  1. Thought this rig was pretty sharp and well put together. Prices on vintage Power Wagons sure keep heading north!

  2. That has some possibilities!
  3. It is a programing spec for fleets looking to maximize fuel economy. I think they also utilized a smaller turbo.
  4. One of many Superliners standing tall at Macungie.
  5. It is easy if you have all the parts. Obviously you will need the soft nose. Typical LJ hard nose runs bicycle fenders and the lower hood panel has a straight edge at the bottom. An LJ soft nose has fenders with a splash apron toward the front and the hood has a curved hood lower edge. Headlight supports are different as well. It would be a pretty good list of parts to find and swap.
  6. You could check the specs on Stemco 343-4176. It is slightly different. New design? Superseded part design over the years? Looks like you just need a window kit. Stemco makes replacement parts for 2.75" and 3.5" windows. Check out the Stemco Wheel End Catalog pdf. on the computer/google search. Page 56.
  7. Camelback suspension works really well off road.
  8. Pretty KooL Bob to have the specs be the same and the trucks take the same path.
  9. Would indeed look great at the Mack Museum or the FDNY Museum. It is nice that it survived and might just have to make a trip to Michigan to check it out. A video clip from Middletown. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mA3cP2UhiU
  10. This bad boy was in the Macungie unloading lot. It is For Sale for $20,000. No connection at all. It features a super heavy duty steel panelled van body. Carried dynamite? Chemicals? No one was around to ask.
  11. Heavy duty hauler from the Boston area back to where it was born.
  12. Out of 840 trucks, I think I saw about 15-20 that were For Sale. Excellent Kodachromery OD!
  13. It is up to you. I always got in trouble trying to help someone else pick a girlfriend.
  14. If you got a tub grinder, you could really do a good job getting rid of those grass clippings. The R would hook right up! Could I borrow the grinder when you are done....?
  15. Glad you found (hopefully) the issue.
  16. Sorry you missed on a fine looking ride. That is actually a chrome soft nose. A hard nose LJ would look like this.
  17. The fuel should be Wix 33090. The Luber Finer style takes oil filter 1554 and the oil clarifier style takes a 51233 oil filter and a 15114 gasket.
  18. Mack "Line Haul" recommendations from a few years earlier (1995) was for oil and filters at 25,000 miles or 600 hours, whichever came first. Mack "Short Haul" spec was for oil and filters at 600 hours.
  19. Similar but there are variations with the injection pump, injectors and timing. Good solid engine. Very nice if it is hooked to a 6 speed (X107/X107A) transmission with multiple reverse gears for dirt work.
  20. This handsome rig was on display at the Mack Museum in the old acoustical testing lab.

  21. Weight is about 10,000 lbs. Depending on what part is needed. Could be difficult, could be easy. Definitely would be a shame to scrap.
  22. OK. Go to the post with a picture you want to delete. Hit the "Edit" button at the bottom of the post. On the edit screen there will be a spot for "Uploaded Images". The Uploaded Images will have a garbage can icon in the lower right of the picture. Click on the garbage can and the picture will disappear. Then click the button that says "Edit Topic".
  23. Page 29 has listings for 18" drum. http://www.webbwheel.com/severeduty/pdfs/2011Catalog.pdf I had an obsolete size for a truck. Found a match for everything except the depth measurement. Took the drum to a machine shop and they machined it for the correct depth. Sorry, can't help with shoes.
  24. You can have my share of scrapple!
  25. Looks Great! Two problems though. Might have to change your username to "convnut" and you will have to lower the air pres. in the tires to not scuff the stack on the garage door.....
