  1. If it isn't taking grease, I would say to stop using the truck. All the old grease needs to be flushed out of the bushing and replaced with new grease. Old filthy grease is just going to grind the trunnion bushing up. After cleaning and inspection, you can see whether the bushing needs to be changed. All the weight on the rear of the truck is being held by the bushing, it needs to be lubricated.
  2. Wish I could get to Lexington but it is not in the cards. Have a great time!
  3. Yup, that looks like A40X 9799. I guess the Mack Museum will have to figure this one out! I don't have an explanation of the sequential numbering system beside what was posted previously.
  4. Happy Birthday! Good day to take the D-T out and find an ice cream stand.
  5. Here is where we talked about it before. https://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/50820-auction-results/ I have most prices jotted down somewhere if there is something particular you are looking for.
  6. Some fine looking countryside!
  7. Need more info. Which auction are you thinking about?
  8. OK. You're CRAZY! Hope your plan comes together.
  9. This finely restored B-20 will be soon be complete with a wooden rack body. The B-20 was available between 1953-1960 with 1,113 units produced. The Mack EN 291 Magnadyne (107 HP) provided the power.
  10. Seen today in the rain at the Western Massachusetts ATCA Chapter Show.
  11. Hemingway grew pretty big and gobbled up a lot of players. They had a big terminal on Long Island and Providence RI with their HQ in New Bedford. I think there was a heavy debt load to service and also deregulation hurt them. Sort of think there may have been a union strike somewhere at the end which happened in the early 80's.
  12. They had R's and U's. Nashua started around 1925 or something so probably ran all the brands over the years. The last stuff seemed to be a lot of Macks
  13. The Plus 3 cab started in 1973. The DM got a Plus 3 cab but the U model never got it.
  14. On display at Macungie 2014.
  15. The A and E model will be the same heater box.
  16. That stretch of road needed another strip mall.... It still amazes me that St. J is gone also.
  17. Looks very tidy under hood!
  18. Used to be seen all around New England. 2013 was the end of the line.
  19. That's for sure!
  20. The B-67's could be optioned with the larger radiator from the factory.
  21. OK. I was thinking about being a wise ass in my response by saying that Brian's purchase of the Sterling gave Jon enough cash to buy Edaville!
  22. I don't believe this truck spent anytime at Edaville. Jon Delli Priscoli sold the Sterling to Brian Thibeault in Manchester in 2002 which is the same year that Jon bought Edaville.
