  7. It is an A model, 40 is the size/weight, X is extreme service chassis and it was the 8798 unit built. Records indicate that total production was 7666 "40's" built between 1950-1953. So it is interesting that your VIN shows 9799. Mack VINs start at 1001. Could you post a picture of the VIN plate?

  13. If you can get the Rockwell numbers off the axle, a heavy duty parts house should be able to get you some hubs and associated bits and pieces.
  14. Pretty much all DM's are heavy but this one features a 23,000 lb front axle with two lugs per spoke.
  15. Don't think I would have sold that! A little spread in the camelback probably works pretty good in the field.
  16. Very KooL flopper! You will have fun with that 41! Kaase sure has made the Boss 9 his pet project.
  17. Sounds good Bob! This one is based in Reno. Might be the same rig? Scanned picture out of ATHS Show Time.
  18. Powered by an Iron Lung 275 Cummins and hooked to a tri-axle Red River Trailer in 2002.
  19. Some part numbers for you starting on pg. 192 https://www.donaldson.com/content/dam/donaldson/engine-hydraulics-bulk/catalogs/air-intake/north-america/F110027-ENG/accessories/Air-Intake-Accessories.pdf
  20. The two locations for the VIN are behind the right front tire on the frame and the door plate.
  21. And 52 years ago, the Mack B model production run was ended. The last B model is now owned by Matt Pfahl.
