    The 673 with the turbo I think would be fine, but if your looking to put another motor in it you should go with the 237. Durable motor, almost bullet proof. Hahah. It really is a good motor.

    We did that with the "dark beige" as Mack called it inside the U model. Looks great, only difference is that its shinier than the original flat color. Then we found in our paint supplies in the garage a light sand color in a can and used that for the dash parts, pieces, etc. pretty close color.

    A few days ago when I was talking to Papa on the phone, he said he liked this truck a lot.

    Sweet truck. I know there was way more R models made then U models. So I really don't know.

    Factory OEM dominates. I do like to loose the muffler on the U's like mine that had mufflers and put a straight pipe.

    The first generations of H models like yours Mike with the round fenders and stuff, they called them "CherryPickers".

    The first cab in line, the red U model cab with the black roof is sitting on my U model right now. Im adding this picture to my collection.

    If I won the lotto I'd buy all the U models I see for sale. Then build a big garage to fit the older ones in. Would be a brick garage though so it can't burn.

    I actually told Papa we should have a show called Mack hunters and just go out and find old Macks. But we don't have the cash to bring all them trucks home.
