  1. well i know the truck was running in this picture but i cant tell if the slats are shut. but it wasnt moving on its ownt power it was being towed while idleing, does that make a difference?
  2. im pretty sure the grill was silver or gray. i also never knew or noticed the grill slats open when you shut the truck off. if my u model doesnt do that is that a problem? i always thought mine were open all the time.

  7. Why were the tall air cleaners on the Dms alot? was it because of what jobs they usually did or the motors?

  11. were the tall air cleaners optional in the seventies? I know mack used the tall air cleaners in the early 70s but in the mid 70s im wondering if they were optional. because in my 1976 bulldog magazine there is u models in there with the tall air cleaners and they were built in 76. i thought mack went to the short air cleaner in like 74 because my u model is a 75 and it has the short air cleaner. thanks , vinny

Hay jay i got a pair of them sunglasses too! i also got some mack shirts. i also got a bulldog poster, a mack sign, a factory photo of a u model, a cab broucher of a u model, a big poster with a tri axle granite dump, a mack book and a book called big rigs of the 1970s. but its not all macks. i also got a 1976 bulldog magazine. it wouldnt let me post any other pics because it said the file was to big.
