  1. And I will change both sides. The kit was ordered this morning and I should have them Friday. Be a nice little project for Saturday as there is nothing in the shop pressing.I didn't know these were used to set camber angle. I'd assumed this was still done by bending, (shhhhhh) the axle beam. Thanks, Rob
  2. One of the things I find so strange about this party in general, (especially this election) is the active recruitment of the very same peoples Adolf Hitler and his political party was steadfastly against during the 1930's. The homosexuals, the racial, and ethnic groups etc. During this president's tenure I feel we as a country are on a track to becoming a combination facist, and socialist state near complete opposite of what our founding fathers envisioned. Many thousands of lives have been lost to preserve and defend our constitution throughout the world, and my thoughts are that a vote to retain this administration is a stream of piss on our veterans' graves as a thank you for their sacrifice. 3. Good morning. Got me a question starting from finding a left side king pin sloppy in my R612ST. This thing has a shake at 43mph and goes away right at 46-47mph all to way to governed speed, (80mph+). My daughter will run "chase" tonight to isolate further, but It needs new king pins and that's not a big deal. My question is why are these things called "adjustable"? I have the adjusting socket/tool and after rebuilding the assembly with new pins, bushings, and bearings, you install the top cap, thread in the bottom plug, adjust it up snug seating the tapered king pin into the tapered socket of the axle beam, and install a cotter key to keep the plug from backing out. If my understanding is correct, the taper of the king pin and socket keeps the pin from rotating in it's respective bore, but the wear surfaces are the upper, and lower bushings, along with the thrust bearing in the bottom between the spindle, and axle beam. The tapered portion of the pin should never wear if logic is correct. Is the "adjustment" just a preliminary install item and is never touched again for the service life of the king pin and knuckle assembly, or do these things require periodic adjustment to compensate for wear of the thrust bearing for instance? 5. Will do Dave. That is similar to the problems I was having a couple of years ago with the vendor I used to patronize.Rob
  6. I have spoken with them many times in the past and they are doing a V8 pump of mine next week. Several I know have used them extensively and all are happy. They will work with you to deliver what you expect.I have recurring training classes there and visit them each time. Very nice folks and know what they are doing. Rob
  7. Fly into Peoria, make the purchase and drive it home. I've done similar. Uncle Rob
  8. Guy down the street from me has a complete truck like that advertised for $8000.00. I'll bet he'd take $5000.00 and you could part the rest. Uncle Rob
  9. I can tell you from personal experience pulling a D8 Caterpillar it sure sounded good under a load. I'm not real hard on a throttle pedal so didn't really push it hard. Uncle Rob
  10. That's the way you get shit done. Rob
  11. I'd keep the pipes at the front of the engine bay if possible. Even go around the front if needed. They will make the cabin very warm all the time if run as you propose. You could get by with wrapping the turbocharger, and pipes but it will still be warm. Uncle Rob
  12. And I expect to not be able to ascertain it is anything but OEM factory with the hood closed upon completion. Fitment will be tight. Uncle Rob
  13. Found my video camera today and a new 16g memory card for it. Gonna see about borrowing a tripod to mount it on whilst I fuck with the Detroit over the Memorial Day weekend to try to get it fired off. Rob
  14. Send it to Thompson Diesel in OKC and tell them exactly what you expect.Rob
  15. There are several variations of the frames, and mounts nephew. This would not be an easy "swap" without a donor to use for parts. Better off to get an original 700 series R model than attempt to convert. Plenty of those with V8's I've not acquired yet so they best get a move on.......Uncle Rob
  16. Next thing they will be pushing for is a bright rainbow on the reprinted remnants of the American Constitution.Rob
  17. "U" model dump trucks always use the rt. fuel tank for a hydraulic reservoir to keep from spilling over the left side when the truck rolls over. The driver can then use the "lightweight" kickstand option as it is much less troublesome to deploy for short periods of time such as coffee break.Rob
  18. Not Cheap at all.Rob
  19. Thats why there is extra room on the rt. side of those things. A large fuel tank on the outside, and a extemely large girlfriend for the inside. This is barely enough "counterbalance" weight to do the trick. You can now go through a rt. turn at 25MPH safely. Don't push the limit however as you would still be working against the physical laws of gravity in the northern hemisphere.Uncle Rob
  20. Thanks and I must be doing something wrong.Uncle Rob
  21. Uh huh. It's your story but we knew what you meant.Uncle Rob
  22. I ain't no expert in nuthin. Just been around them damned thangs a long time.Uncle Rob
  23. Forgot to say his pricing was a bit more for the same size tire, but a better brand and more readily available.Rob
