  1. This is true. It ought to swing California his way without problems on it's own.Rob
  2. Insurance would be expensive given the natural tendency of the "U" model Mack to highly favor it's left side on pavement. Pulling a million dollar camper would be expensive to repair too.Uncle Rob
  3. I'm closer in Illinois and could trade out the storage charges in machine work.Uncle Rob
  4. It was misfiring on a cylinder. I thought others knew that. It was being overfueled to the point it could not burn the mixture with the supplied air. If the emergency shutoff door was tripped closed, and the engine continued to run, there is something wrong with the door sealing cause that shouldn't happen. Detroit two strokers may smoke, but that was excessive.Uncle Rob
  5. "Laying" As on it's left side?Uncle Rob
  6. Sounds exciting and I'm looking forward to it. Please, in the act of dignity use new gloves or bare hands. It all washes off you know. Some say I squeal a lot, so be tolerant. The sun is still bright yellow in the east and brilliant orange in the west near dusk. Been that way as long as I can remember; even before Obama. Rob
  7. Spoke with Alan today; very nice man and knows you well. I'm having him quote me for eight new tires and rims as he could not get used rims in the size needed.I even think I've got a sale on my old tires and rims to an implement dealer here running the size. Thanks, Rob

  9. I too only agree with part of the analogy. I still repair both old and new, and there are some differences yes, but they are not near as drastic or negative as some would believe. Mack's in house engineering is still very strong for their product(s).Myself, if in the trucking business, would try to run older in house rebuilt equipment, as I prefer profit margin and taking care of my personnel as opposed to status. However, I am a general exception as there is no reliance on financing for my goals. Rob
  10. And right there is the hammer and the nail head thing.Rob
  11. Since I was long ago "gelded" which one of you fine gents wants to come over here to clean my sheath? The world wonders. I've seen my daughter do it on horses many times with a hose and I must apologize as it is not an option for you guys. Rob
  12. Then I guess you never have cause I'm sure you'd remember it.Rob
  13. Thanks Brian, I'll be calling them tomorrow. Got a real good package price on the tires so couldn't turn them down.Rob
  14. Yes it is. I'm not going to go to OKC for any more classes for the rest of my tenure I'm sure, but others still have training there.Rob
  15. I'm thinking there was a machine shop up Walker Ave. in OKC and that may have been Broadway but it's been about 20 years. One of my cohorts at work is hauling one of my V8 injection pumps to the place in OKC next week for evaluation/rebuild. Wanting the 375hp output + about 15%. Rob
  16. NO!! It ain't what you filthy minded individuals around here thought when you read the title. I don't know why I hang around you sick, twisted bastards sometimes....... I'm wanting to replace all eight of my 8.25R-15 low boy tires on my drop deck trailer. These are pretty much an obsolete size, and tube type. I've ordered nine new 235R-17.5 tires for the trailer, but would really like to find a better price on rims. Don't have to be new, just straight. I need 6.25" wide rims, open center. Thanks for any help. Rob
  17. I'm trying to think of where they are? I know where Blumenthal's is off Reno downtown in OKC.Rob
  18. It's quite yellow and bright in the east, and blazing orange in the west near dusk.I live life as it is making the best of my surroundings; and call it the way I see it. Always have, Always will. Rob
  19. I find it disgusting. Marriage, and/or relationships equals one man, one woman without exception.I've heard, or seen nothing saying this man is gay. I also do not believe he is. I think it an atrocity on the media's part to try and brand him that way. He supports gay and lesbian marriage and unions; I do not. His sexual orientation is of no concern to me. How the country is run is. Rob
  20. A fat chick in the passenger seat may be a bonus for him.Rob
  21. I was one that never met him but it is always sad to discover one of the members of this fellowship passing along. R.I.P. Erv. Rob
  22. Not for much longer we won't!!
  23. It is quite possible the sealing "O" rings internal to the steering gear are defective and passing fluid around them. This would be a cause for "stiff" steering but only a steering gear rebuild will correct this. Also the only real way to diagnose this is to interconnect hydraulic pressure gauges in the system to ensure the system is maintaining internal pressure. With worn out sealing rings on the power piston, and control valving, or relief valves not closing, internal hydraulic pressure is reduced and steering effort to turn the wheels in increased. Rob

  25. They also like to be talked about favorably, and complemented a bit. Smile a lot. Be chipper constantly, (even if you want to bite nails in two) and lie with the best of em. Uncle Rob
