  1. To each their own but I don't care for them. Of course I don't drive, or own that truck either.Rob
  2. That's right. Your dad quit before he smeared the spot to let you become what you are. He should be respected for that. Uncle Rob

  6. I stayed about 1/2 hour later putting up some stuff that was laying around. Fed, played with, then smacked the cat when he decided to bite, ate some antacid tablets to start the recovery process, received and processed a payment for another job when I checked the mail, then went home. Glad we were able to get you moving. The neighbor that farms the surrounding fields would let me borrow his "Versatile" tractor to pull you out but he is another one that likes to pick on me so don't bother him too often. Hopefully your permits and such go through without delay and you can continue on. Maybe see you next trip? Rob
  7. I've seen that same setup in past someplace. Can't remember where as it has been too many years ago; I had brains, and memory then too. Rob
  8. He's perfectly safe sheltering/cowarding under his scraper he doesn't want you to know about. Rob
  9. That would take away from my stingy, greedy, world can kiss my ass, self serving son of a bitch attitude and style I so adore; I couldn't do that as it may change my always cheery disposition.Uncle Rob
  10. Glad I was able to help keep you rollin. Two bottles of Pepto-Bismol later, I might be able to get to sleep. Damned Peterbilts. Rob
  11. In order or your questions: 1: Yes, I have performed this operation. 2: I used a slice disc and take the heads off flush with the frame. 3: Most will tell you to graft onto the end of the frame rails, then roll the axles back to the location needed. I've done it this way, and just grafted the section into the middle both without problems. If you add to the middle, you have twice the welding to do. I would weld up the cracked crossmembers myself. Rob
  12. I am less than exceeding all expectations. Rob
  13. Stupid, and Mack trucks in the same sentence??? You must be pickin on ole Rob again; (and you know how sensitive I am). Rob
  14. I can't for the life of me figger out what somebody would want with one of those ugly assed hoods, let alone have two of em. Damn, that would be known as "double ugly"!! If it's in better shape than yours you can have it for Christmas, but freight may be a problem. The stress crack I photographed is the only damage I know about but it's been sitting in that same spot since 2003. The crack was a product of the truck rolling over. I guess that has been a bit longer than six years now that I think about it. Oh, and the guy really did lose his arm in that accident. Uncle Rob
  15. It is!!!
  16. I couldn't find the frame section out back but only had a few minutes to look. Here are some photos of some of the other junk laying around back there; mouster 1 on the job: part of an enormous junk pile: LTL 9000 Ford hood in there somplace Remnants of a T800 hood: Lopsided hood Too much Junk!! Rob
  17. In yesterday's mail I received a check for $375.00 for damages to my driveway tree caused by impact from that Nissan Altima owned by "Cunt" lady. This is to nurse the tree with some type of "salve" and bandage for a season to ensure it's livlihood....... As I said earlier I'll donate the funds to a charity which will be the Peoria South Side Mission whom offer food, shelter, and a warm place to sleep for homeless peoples. We help them out with both funds, and time at the holidays when we are able. The tree is in the way so it will prolly come down anyways. Rob
  18. Yup, Once I get a look at "Momma", I most certainly don't need to look at other things..... female....... as the recovery isn't instantaneous.......I had to start skipping meals, (not easy thing to do neither) thanks to places like ebay, Craigslist, truckpaper, traderonline.com, etc. BMT saved my ass, (it did) and I'm still convalescing through aggressive therapy and inherent underlying self preservation. . Rob
  19. Off brands leave a bitter after taste, (like me). With a "slurpy" girl like that, You'd need mouthwash? I'd be willing to be your earlobes would be wet too. Rob
  20. More than just a little according to "Momma".Rob
  21. Well thanks but "Momma" say I'm too far gone already.Rob
  22. What kind of oil do you have in the trans? I run 75W-90 meeting the GL-4 standard and have no problems. Rob
  23. My cutting torch anxiously awaits another "U" model. Ain't seen one worth saving yet. Damn self rollover beasts of burden. Maybe a nice video of one affectionately cared for would turn my attitude around. I have yet to see one on my favorite website and I'm getting depressed. Rob
  24. Carly Simon was the artist singing.Rob
