  10. Difference between Grandma and Grandpa Have you ever wondered what the difference is between Grandmothers and Grandfathers? Well, here it is: There was this loving grandfather who always made a special effort to spend time with his son's family on weekends. Every Saturday morning he would take his 7-year-old granddaughter out for a drive in the car for some quality time - pancakes, ice cream, candy. -- just him and his granddaughter. One particular Saturday, however, he had a bad cold and really didn't feel like being up at all. He knew his granddaughter always looked forward to their drives and would be disappointed. Luckily, his wife came to the rescue and said that she would take their granddaughter for the drive and breakfast. When they returned, the little girl anxiously ran upstairs to see her grandfather who was still in bed. "Well, did you enjoy your ride with grandma?" he asked. "Not really, Pa Pa , it was really boring. We didn't see a single asshole, queer, lesbian, piece of shit, horse's ass, liberal pinko democrat Obama lover, blind bastard, dipshit, Muslim camel humper, or son of a bitch anywhere we went"! Bout sums it up eh? Rob

    Hey Rob!

We didn't need to go inside of the truck stop. I had just replenished the "stash" in the back of the Jeep with "Doritos" nacho cheese, and "Kitchen Cooked" halepeno dipped corn chips so I was good to go. Randy called just as I was finishing a double cheese taco supreme pizza at the local mexican joint. I'm gonna give "Momma" a complementary "Dutch Oven" when she gets home from work tonight cause my guts is definately on fire tonight. Great to see you too. Hope to do it again when you can stay a little while. Rob
  12. I'm getting concerned about my nephew Vinny as of late. First he talks of being sorry for "bustin on olive", then he mentions touching each other with no space. Me and "U" gonna need to talk. Uncle Rob
  13. That is a heart warming story the liberal media cannot make into a national controversy so they won't touch it. Rob
  14. Larry, you interested in doing something like I prototyped for myself? I may purchase a struggling upholstery shop for this kinda stuff. I don't have the time, or interest in doing interior(s) myself, but would like to have access to the items. Rob
  15. I seen one made from aluminum that was a series of bands at the bottom. The base tube was 4.5" but the hole in the air cleaner was larger. The last two inches of the tube were built up from aluminum "collars" which were pieces of aluminum tube with an internal diameter fitting the external diameter of each collar. Then the assembly was welded together nicely and this is what showed. It looked like it was home made but nicely done. A tree collision destroyed it so it was thrown away.Might be an option for what you want to do if you can't have the tube "swaged" larger on the end. Rob
  16. You are on the right track. I know'd your father followed my advice by your attitude on life. Uncle Rob
  17. Sounds Mitsubishi to me but that's just a guess. I would change the fuel filters and rubber lines first. This sounds like the draw on the tank is sucking up crap until the filter restricts, and then falls away when shut down, or the suction lines are swollen and closing internally. Seen this type scenario played out before. Doesn't sound like anything major being that power returns when setting inoperating for a while. Don't forget to ensure the tank vent is open to atmosphere also. The difficulty in cranking when warm almost sounds like a weak cell in the storage battery. Have you had it load tested? Rob
  18. It is a five speed. In front of the 1076 number you found will be TR, or TRL1076. A six speed with have TRDL then the numbers. A six speed also has a rear compound gearset and the five speed does not. The six speed is longer and you can compare to what is in the truck since this is known. Rob
  19. Different fathers. That makes you cousins, (just don't kiss cause I don't like that shit). Uncle Rob
  20. When moving back for the panoramic shot, he caught a glimpse of his ole "Uncle Rob" and the camera went south. Rob
  21. But what isn't anymore. Just today I had a Tektronix oscilloscope calibrated. This scope cost $16,000 last year new and the tag on the back: "Made in China".Rob
  22. The assistant pricipal at the jr. high school I went to was named Bernard K. Lawrence. I used to go into his office every Wednesday, and Friday morning because "school detentions" were held on Tuesday, and Thursday after school. I had other important business to tend to so never bothered to go. The punishment for skipping a "school detention" was two swats on the ass. We called these a "Burner from Bernie". I remember it well: Lean over the front of the oak chair, look at the green dot painted on the center of three horizontal back support bars, place both hands on the flat part of the seat and feel your ass come afire! I think they would consider this cruelty nowadays? Rob
  23. Yeah, well I'm 52 and absolutely love to lay on the floor building things out of my six month old granddaughter's toys so she can knock it down and I can start over, and over, and over...... Rob
  24. I've had a lot of nice cars through the years that were just cars in those days. Amazing when you look back at it. A guy I ran around with a lot in high school purchased a "stripper" 68 "R" code hemi roadrunner from a pair of brothers that had planned to campaign the car at the drag strip but never did. This thing bone stock would scare the living shit out of you cause it would go forward extremely fast, but didn't even have power brakes, (manual disc) and didn't like to stop all that well. Used to have to run the valves, and tweak the carbs just about every weekend to keep it running right. Last I talked to him about a year ago it is still in his mom's garage on jack stands. He like I have had 30+ year marriages and the car is part of the family. He has turned down an enormous amount of money for it a couple of times. It has just over 15,000 miles on the clock. I think the steer tires are the original Goodyear "Polyglass" and we went through a few sets of back tires so don't know what they are. Rob
  25. Yup; you is my nephew. You best be looking up to your good ole uncle Rob for the wisdom and guidance that has yet to be conveyed. Won't be long and I'll have you cussin like a drunk, pissed off sailor getting dragged out of a brothel. Uncle Rob
