  4. I'll measure all four of my trucks with that axle and get back with you guys. I wouldn't mind having new drums for them if not exhorbitant in cost. All of mine are serviceable now, (I believe). Thanks, Rob
  5. Vinny likes them "U" models as it's the furthest you can get away from that grease spot of the road. Somehow, I just can't rekkon how the word "grease", and "ass", should be in the same sentence......... Rob
  6. Hi Barry, I don't have any way of tracing the number but what size drums, and Budd style, or Dayton? Rob
  7. I don't know if there is a way to cronologically break that down or not with doing it manually. rob

    "Crusty's" Back!

Just shy of 800 miles on the clock over the weekend with prolly 7500# on the trailer and truck, (maybe more) and all went well. Can't tell from the way ole "Crusty" drove he had ever been hurt. My "calibrated eyeball" alignment seems to be near dead on as there was no drift, pull, shake, or anything out of the ordinary. All in all a great trip meeting up with some very nice people along the way. Rob
  9. It almost sounds like the pump's plungers and barrels are worn out. Advancing the engine dynamic timing with cause the injection cycle to begin sooner as the piston rises in the bore slightly compensating for the lack of fuel at the proper time when set correctly. This is not a cure, only a troubleshooting aid. You would be well served to pull the pump and get it and the injectors into a shop to have it checked and/or repaired. Rob
  10. 8100 total members as of today. BMT continues to grow!! Rob
  11. Don't recall you ever saying anything out of line. Rob
  12. I try to oversee all and only delete what is inappropriate. Foul, rude, crude, digusting language is perfectly acceptable in my opinion as long as it's not directed at someone personally such as in attacking, berating, or any other form of openly running them down. Clear as mud????? I had Steck lockout sets in all the trucks. The "Big Easy" was a single nylon tool that was ample in length to reach across the passenger compartment to unlock the opposite door which was easier sometimes in the newer vehicles. Stay current with Steck manufacturing as they will provide directions of which tool to use in which application to help you along. I used to use AW Direct for most of my towing supplies. Rob

  19. You know you got talent if you can spell out the alphabet by swinging your ass about a piece of cardboard during the elimination process. What good that talent would be is for someone else to decide. Rob
  20. You know what ole Confucious used to say; something like, "Man who argues with woman during day, get no peace at night". If I can serve as any kind of example, hide the knives and other sharp objects. Rob

  24. Shadow and angle of the camera. The wedge and nut is there.Rob
  25. I'm pleased to read someone rate positive for them. My involvement has been solely based on the "online" crowd. When I was active there were many changes moving forth and some of these changes were "ramrodded" up the membership's ass's without recourse. This without doubt resulted in an exodus of membership numbers and a branding they have not been able to shake loose of. I too enjoy the truck shows and have been to a few sponsored by the ATHS. I find most participants are good people, and like anything else, some not so good. It is usually easy to separate, and catagorize them. I, like anyone else develop a natural "turn off" when I don't feel welcome in someone's company, so usually don't repeat mistakes nor expect those to think highly of me. I never much cared for being criticized, or attacked for offering advice or guidance to help someone along in a restoration, or repair, and when this site became available, I engaged wholeheartedly in fostering it's growth into what it has become today. This for me personally has been both positive and rewarding; I hope our participants here feel the same and we continue to grow. Rob
