  1. Yes but the mid 1980's dashes that were silver were padded where this one does not appear to be. It appears to be moulded, hard plastic. Rob
  2. You very much have an open opportunity and invitation to submit your best offer so please take advantage of them; or remain mute. I don't like this type response and will not offer tolerance to using this website to openly attack, or oppose ideology contrary to your own concerning antique trucks, and/or their collection. Rob
  3. I've never been "burned" purchasing at an online auction being ebay, or other sales venues. If there is something I'm really interested in, the possible expense to making a "dry run" is always taken. Seldom do I purchase a large ticket item without looking at it. Even impeccable feedback is not always accurate. Always best to get a personal look at the item by either yourself, or trusted third party. Rob
  4. Looks to be a mid 80's-090's style cab due to dash being the hard plastic type, and the style of heater box. You might call Phil direct as he is pretty good about pricing for our "hobby" trucks. Rob
  5. They are not difficult to make from 18 gauge galvaneal steel. They didn't rot as bad as the main floor pan, but finding one still could prove interesting. Rob
  6. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mack-DM-U-model-DMM-cab-assembly-DM690S-/260964579656?pt=Other_Vehicle_Parts&vxp=mtr&hash=item3cc2b37948 This might be of interest to you and not too far away. Rob
  7. The IRS sent my Tax forms back! AGAIN! I guess it was because of my response to the question : "List all dependents?" I replied - "12 million illegal immigrants; "3 million crack heads; "42 million unemployable people on food stamps, "2 million people in over 243 prisons; "Half of Mexico and "535 fools in the U.S. House and Senate.” Apparently, this was NOT an acceptable answer.
  8. This one like others I've seen uses a thinner, (probably the B series) radiator than a standard radiator also. Look at the side fillers where lights are mounted in the grille area on this one. Rob
  9. That'll work as they become quite small being added to my "stash" in pieces/parts. Rob
  10. Just like Chevy trucks: One a quiet, calm day, if you listen closely, you can hear them rust from a distance. Rob
  11. Can I call "dibs" on the cab shell? I like to cut them up for salvage parts to save other cabs. Rob
  12. I wish my V8's had primer pumps. Not a single one of them do so there is always silicone spray available to get them to fire after they starve, (not that it will EVER happen again)! Rob
  13. Ohhh, and incidently; I'll have each and every one of yous guys know there are four trucks in the shop with completely full diesel fuel tanks, and two freshly topped off 55 gallon fuel barrels also. As an added bonus, it is all green fuel too! Also I haven't ran out of fuel a single time since replacing all the fuel lines from the tanks, to the filters, to the injection pump on "Project R-12" last month. Everybody always picks on me around here. Swear I'm developing some kind of complex or something......... Rob
  14. Me??? You ought to see "Momma" around the kiddo. I gotta admit it is a whole lot different being a very active part of raising a grandkid as opposed to your own. Kinda humbles one to what is really important in this life we live. Rob
  15. Pig pussy is still pork. Rob
  16. Very nice truck. Wonder why the builder chose the newer style turn signals and cab marker lamps? Rob
  17. Close. Kinley, is her name. Rob
  18. The seller is a resaler. That truck has been listed numerous times over the past couple of years. The pricing always seems steep to me on his listing(s). Rob
  19. Hi there, that is a hat from the Mack store but there is no dog on it? Across the back it does say "Built Like a Mack Truck". Rob
  20. Without a doubt a sound of their own. Rob
  21. You sneaked in just under my upper limit of $25.01. You must barter better than I. Good job!!! Rob
  22. Be great if these two could come together and both be happy. Rob
  23. That is kind of like my 1693TA Cat powered truck. Of the few found to be built, I have had every single VIN run through DOT computers and the only RL755LST truck/tractor with an active VIN resides in my shop. I don't know if the others no longer exist, or are out of the country operating someplace else. Mine is still original with all major components intact. Rob
  24. The hog lot looks better all the time. Rob
