  1. That Jeep has conveyor belting, (literally) for a mat on the rear floor. The T2090 trans was drained before loading, but is one heavy sob. I knew I saved that pallet for something a couple years ago because it was small, just didn't know why at the time....... Rob
  2. Got it covered. Now how do I delete these things????? Rob
  3. I ain't got much left she can cut off so no worries......... She ain't seen the photos yet so don't be surprised if they get pulled before she gets up....... Rob
  4. Yesterday when I was picking up a replacement trans for a customer's truck, I grabbed a Mack shifter handle and this came with it. I checked it out with air pressure and works good. This is just a high/low selector so will fit several applications. Rob
  5. Happy b'day to you, hope it's a good one! Rob
  6. The medium duty trucks with straight pins are a real bitch to get out. I made a plate with chains that attached to a 20 ton bottle jack to press them out years ago. Really don't like to heat suspension parts other than warm to loosen things due to structural integrity of the parts.Rob
  7. Thanks Steve, I've thought long and hard about purchasing one of the OTC brand presses but just don't use it enough to justify the cost. I have adequate hydraulic force available so will make the adapters and fittings for my own. Photos and dimensions will be a great help!Rob
  8. During the war much of the pasta was manufactured in St. Louis that went into the products. Much of the meat was produced in E. St. Louis IL at both the Armor, and Hormel plants then located there. My grandma worked at both plants as a butcher/packer at that time for the war effort. Rob
  9. Not really. Everything has a beginning. An Italian immigrant cook named Boiardi started selling canned pasta dishes in the 1920's here in America. The name was changed to Chef Boyardee as it sounded less immigrant for the american market. It's all history from there and millions of people have grown up on the products marketed under this name. I'm thinking ConAgra now owns the brand rights as it's been sold several times through the years. Rob
  10. The concave backed B67 trucks used a 20" steering wheel and an FA-517 steering axle that had different characteristics than the Fa-505 common to the B61. Also the pedal mounting arrangement was offset to the left for clearance. Rob
  11. I know I have a brand new pair and think I still have a third. Never could find the fourth. I got them in the early 1980's and they have not been installed, or seen sunlight. Will have to look some. Rob
  12. Them and Spagetti-O's kept me alive when I was a kid. Rob
  13. I'm wanting to make myself one of these things and need some photos of an actual one. I have a 25 ton porto power to use just need to see some photos to duplicate. Thanks, Rob
  14. A B-67 is even tighter inside with the concave back panel. It's a lot of work but you can convert the cab with a donor to supply parts.Rob
  15. Just about too heavy for my little POS but ole "Crusty" is still down so had to make do. Pretty heavy no matter how you look at it. Rob

    Seen these:

Took these photos of the back of a new Granite milk tanker in Pekin, IL on Tuesday. Kinda surprised me to see them on a new truck. Rob
  17. 33.5" Outside to Outside measurements on all of them.Rob

Is he the one that is "off to the rodeo"? Rob
  19. I have photos of the installed system on my 64B61. I'll find them and get them to you. I don't know about the drag link length on the this as it is probably longer. I can measure both. I know both steering axles are close in weight rating so this should work if it will fit. Rob

I spend my entire life withdrawn into my shell. Rob
  21. That is a really nice size to have. Certainly not too large, and not too small. Wish I had a genuine need for one as I'd seriously consider it. Rob
  22. The only reason I'm going with hydraulic power steering is to run a quicker steering ratio. Otherwise the Air-O-Matic was fine. Rob
  23. Hi Tad, go back to my post about the 359 rails as there is a drawing in there with the dimensions of my B61. Most B model I've seen have a nine inch frame with a 3.25" flange top and bottom if single frame models. My B62SX has the same out dimensions but it double framed front to rear.Rob
  24. Just glad to know you are still on the topside.Rob

    Ugly?

The "Mark of Excellence" was a trademark of the "Fisher Body Works" which was purchased and owned by GM. When the body works was sold off, the slogan went with it. Rob
