  1. Hoping to have one RL700 and possibly the RL755L at Lititz next year, but I've got some hours to put in first. Rob
  2. Somebody may have been able to use that frame before it was hoisted up like that. Being from AL it may have been rust free. Rob
  3. At one time, I had "em". Really nice pair too. Danged ole "Momma". Rob
  4. Mine neither? I should feel hurt. Wellfuckitthen. Rob
  5. My blue knobs are and will not stay depressed unless the yellow knob is pushed in. The blue knobs will pop back out with no air in the tanks, or the yellow knob is out. If the yellow, and the blue knobs are depressed, the tractor spring brakes are released and the tractor can be driven. If you pull the yellow knob to set the spring parking brakes, the blue knob will also pop out. When the tanks are above about 45psi and the yellow knob pressed in the tractors will not move until the blue knobs are pushed in. Rob
  6. I have four trucks with the blue knob and they are spring loaded. If the yellow knob is pulled out, (setting parking brakes) the blue knob has no pressure. To move the tractor you have to push both the yellow which charges the port for the blue valve, then push the blue knob to release the tractor brakes. If you push the yellow only, the tractor brakes do not release. Rob
  7. I've seen them both ways. I like the ones that are not spring loaded as I only have to mash the brake release button instead of both of them. Rob
  8. There are still a jillion of them around here working in the summer regularly. Rob
  9. Yes but today's gas is not as good of solvent as the last time you did that several years ago. Rob
  10. China bristle with horsehair are really the only type to use if you plan to not throw it away. I hang mine in a tin of turpentine, or mineral spirits submerging the bristles but not bearing any weight upon them. They will last for years. Wooster is my preferred brand. Expensive, but worth it. Rob
  11. I'd like to have a couple of them for my own use. I ordered a reman T2090 this morning for $2500.00, without a core. This includes the upgraded syncronizer and bearing package so should see it within a week. I'm going to take the 2100 apart and repair it and quite possibly use it in another truck along with way. Anybody got a gander how this trans would work behind my Detroit, or should I still plan to use the RTO-14613 behind it? Thanks, Rob
  12. The brush is still dripping. Although it only cost .39 cents at the Dollar General store, we don't throw nuthin away round here if'n it's still got some use in it. Great story. Rob
  13. If there is a good cab let me know as I could use one too. Rob
  14. I've seen that seller pull many auctions early. Don't know what happened here. Rob
  15. I'd like to have it for parts and I'd give the cab to Vinney as I'd never use it. Rob
  16. MIne are 1000 watts each. I've not used them as my trucks are always in a heated shop. Rob
  17. Probably full of Jimmy Carter for president campaign promises to be worth that kind of money. Maybe it comes with a cold six pack of "Billy Beer"? Rob
  18. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1971-mack-r700-/110819162375?pt=Commercial_Trucks&hash=item19cd563907 Needs a hood and the engine needs repair according to the ad. Rob
  19. Thanks much James. 60mph is my target road speed with anything for figuring. That truck is on 10.00RX20 tires and will most likely be the one that is hauled to shows in the future. Appreciate the guidance guys, I can get them priced right and certainly won't let them go to scrap as I don't think they have 100K on them since being remanned. Rob
  20. Yes I'm looking at hobby truck usage. My Cat powered truck has 4.17 rears and I was wondering, (given how hard on fuel a 1693TA is) if the swap would be feasible or not. I haven't driven this truck over 60mph when driving it home from KY when purchased, and it hasn't been off the property since. I know these rears as I've driven the truck shortly before being turned over/wrecked, and written off. I'll get in touch with you shortly. My email is: robsautoaffair@gmail.com Rob
  21. What do you guys think a set of known good Mack 3.87 carriers would be worth? Is the engine speed difference enough to justify going from 4.17 down to these? Thanks, Rob
  22. I think that's gonna push into a few weeks Joe. Pretty saturated down there I hear. Rob
  23. There should be a number stamped into the lower barrel above the "fluted" end by the needle. About midway down the injector body. Rob
  24. If'n I showed up in an RL700 could I park alongside, or would I be ostraciszed to the back row? Rob
  25. Naw, that's what I do the other 364 days of the year with the exception of this one, (leap year) which makes it 365. Rob
