  1. Hi Chuck and thanks. Not disputing pricing but didn't want you sitting and/or running home empty. Rob
  2. Chuck that is a little heavy for me but I could do $1.50 per mile and pick it up at your place. It is 1835 miles from where the truck is, (Minden, NV) to Peoria, IL. The truck runs and drives but needs a jump to get going. It's been sitting for years. It measures right at 9.5' tall, 36.5 long, and a little over 8 ft. wide. Call tomorrow if interested. 3. I'm none too impressed with the parts dept. supervisor in OKC. The guys in back are great to talk with. Rob
  4. The tank would only hold about three congressmen and then they would start stepping on each other's rights. Rob
  5. I think I'd have a little difficult time getting rid of that. It has enough "uniqueness" to it it will generate interest just by what it is. Most neighbors don't mind one of those portable carports that are getting more and more commonplace these days, and it would be hard for someone to bitch if the carport housed a restored old truck while the new acquistion is being worked on inside. That is prolly what I would do myself, but, I don't like to get rid of anything. Rob
  6. Just the vacume pump will bring a fair dollar as this is an older one by the looks. Old=Better. Rob
  7. Yup, sure sounds like it to me too. I think they should return both sulfer, and some lead in the motor vehicle fuels, then bannish the EPA to Antarctica, (alongside California) to keep an eye on things down there cause we can exist peacefully without both of them. Rob
  8. And I have the electronic file to embroider them up to any size you can imagine. I did my seats, and door cards this way with a left, and right facing dog on the circles. Rob
  9. http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=3145439& Looks like an honest truck repowered with a 3406 Cat engine. Prolly be best replacing the cab and doors. Rob
  10. Yes it is an "RL" series truck with an aluminum frame. The tank is removable and the truck is convertible to a "log hauler" chassis as built. It has a TRDL 107 trans, (10 speed direct). It is a little over 1800 miles from me, but I'll drive it back and put her to work. I'm kinda fond of the 700 series trucks w/V8 engines. Rob
  11. Dual wheels yes, 4wd, no. Really don't need 4wd. Rob
  12. I may have found a truck to replace "Crusty". Not for certain yet but it's original owner 1999 Dodge one ton pickup. This one is diesel, runs well, is a stretch cab and not used to pull a camper any longer. It has the four valve Cummins diesel, automatic, everything power with the same 4.10 axle ratio "Crusty" had. I'll know mid week if his estate executor will accept my offer. I've known the folks for years, so I trust the truck. Rob

  14. I had a conversion van in high school. On the lower edge of the rt. rear window was a sticker that said; "Don't worry, Your daughter is with me". Rob
  15. Good, not too far. I could use two of the air cleaners with hoods, and an internal heater unit boot that is rubber. It is for the larger style heater int the B cabs. Rob

    A story

Looks like she "fell" out of the sides of it. Rob
  17. Another reason to dump California from the Union. Rob
  18. I can feel the ground shaking already. Rob
  19. Although I agree fully with Doug's suggestion, I think a new engine with a hybrid electronics contoller to get rid of a lot of the ancillary garbage EPA requires, would be a good combination. I don't know much about getting work with an older truck but it sure be something to evaluate. Rob
  20. You may be time and money ahead to "off" your current truck and purchase this one. Rob
  21. Just don't get yourself so far "in", you never get anything done. Rob

  23. I'll bet that is close to what they do too. It will probably be transferred to another cruise line and renamed. Rob
  24. Must be related to the enhanced trajectory engineering graduates I've employed in the past. I always swore they could tear up a round steel ball in a rubber lined room with their bare hands. Rob
  25. Jay, you ever driven one of those? They really are quite small inside the cab. If you are planning on passenger(s), it will be tight. With my overweight, sagging, and ever spreading bloated carcass in the seat, there isn't a lot of room. Rob
