    Yes they do. You must be able to open the door, turn the key to start the engine, and mash the yellow, and red buttons to move. After that, no further training required. Just look on the hiways for the evidence. Rob

  7. I believe you have solved your own problem. The alternator is suspect. Ebay has positive ground alternators readily available but if it were me, I'd change the truck over to negative ground. Rob
  8. There are both posiitive and negative ground alternators available. I'll bet your truck is still positive ground and the 22SI series alternator you are trying to install is negative ground such is commonplace these days. Rob

    Well Dammit:

    You are very correct about blowing a tank as they were never designed to contain pressure. This is why I limit charge pressure to 35psi. I actually drilled and tapped a brass fuel cap for 1/4" pipe thread, and using a close nipple threaded an air regulator directly to the cap. A high pressure air line connected to the inlet of the regulator that is turned down to 35psi works great. Never have swollen an end bell yet but did blow the rusty sump out of the bottom of the predecessor tank to what is now installed. Rob

    I've seen educated truck drivers do the same. Just as soon as there is enough air to release the brakes, they're on the way. A good allowance of time for warmup is essential to long life for an engine and components in my opinion. Everything I own and drive has over 200,000 miles on the clock at ths writing. They didn't get that way being mistreated. Hell, the old "Trusty, yet Crusty" Dodge has been worked much harder for the bulk of it's life than design criteria allows for and it's never presented any major mechanical problems at all. Neither the engine, trans, (automatic), nor rears have ever been opened up for repairs. Let em make fun. Also let em make the payments to support their respective lifestyles needing new vehicles to exist. I'll keep my money to save more Macks, or these days "spoil" the livin shit out of my grandaughters. Rob

    Well Dammit:

    Damned thing starved out again while moving it last night. Seems I forgot to tighten the suction hose fitting at the tank after starting it by hand. One of those things I forgot to do when the telephone broke my limited train of thought. Simple fix but sure a pain in the ass. Getting these V8's to prime with no hand primer pump is difficult so I built up a regulator and apply 35 psi to the tank while the vent bleeds. It sure helps to force fuel through the system till the air is purged in the fuel gallery within the pump. Silicone lubricant spray helps to get the engine running so you don't have to grind on the starter for several minutes. If I had my gorilla I'd just have her crank it around with a bar but ole randyp is being a little selfish these days. Rob

Knowing one needs to have the hood down to do actual work, and the inherent instability and reliability one of those things offer. it is a simple process of deductive reasoning for solution: It's always broke down someplace most inconvienient.   17. My shift levers in the B67 w/concave cab, are straight up like my B61's. I have the TRD720 trans. It is quite small in there as you mention. I'd change the cab if this one weren't in such good condition as far as rust. I'm considering putting a flat back from a B61 cab on mine to gain some room. Don't think I could fit in the passenger seat and close the door. Definately not enough room for both of my feet over there. Rob

  22. You are correct. She has weekly checkup appointments for for the next month. The baby, (Kinley) is doing well, but extremely "fussy" during the daylight hours. One of the nurses suggested possibly a neurological connection attributed to light as she is really only this way during the daytime when it is bright outside. After about 6:30pm, she is a different kiddo, (until she demands her bottle). If you got baby experience and free time, "Momma", and Nikki would sure use the help. Mother in law left yesterday after gouging out, then then deep frying in Guinea Pig lard, the innards of a roadside possum and slathering it it some of other dog's homade sauce. I should be good to go for a few days cause I'm "eatin good in the hood". I still handle the 11:00pm feedings and try to catch one earlier in the evening if I'm home but the shop has been keeping me kinda busy also. People keep wrecking their cars. Thanks, Rob
