  1. I made one for my son to shoot tennis balls using oxy/acetylene gas as the fuel and a steel pipe. Talk about loud, and never seen a few of the tennis balls again. Just a squirt of acetylene in an oxygen blanket is all it takes. Use masking tape as the wick and get the hell away from it after lighting the fuse. Rob
  2. If you get another mouse like it, be certain to webcam the action. People on the internet like that kind of stuff. Rob
  3. Popped his eye out too. Rob

    Well Dammit:

I liked it too cause I was the brunt of the humor. Rob
  5. I remember when I had one to play with; several Mack trucks ago.......
  6. Thought this was interesting: So this guy, after the bullfight in Spain, goes to the nearest restaurant to eat. The guy next to him gets the special of the day. The first guy asks for the special of the day too, but the waitress tells him there is only one special of the day each day and it has already been ordered. He’s asks what it is and the waitress tells him it is the testicles of the bull that lost the bullfight that day. So the guy comes in the next day a littler earlier and asks for the special of the day. The waitress comes out with his plate and sets it down. The man looks up at her and says “hey, the meal for the guy yesterday was MUCH bigger!”. The waitress says “yes, but sometimes the bull wins.”.
  7. I LOVE CUNTREE MUSIC would be the interpretation. The word CUNT being the catchphrase.
  8. I don't think I would enjoy "showing" a vehicle that I did not do the work to myself. Maybe that is just me but I appreciate anything with some "old" to it at a show and enjoy speaking with the parties that actually brought the item to the condition you view it in, whether they paid for it, or performed the functions themselves. As long as the "fruits of the labor" are shared. Most folks I've met at truck shows are very honest and open about the project and it's course. As with anything there is a bit of arrogance but still a good time to listen to the stories and look at photos. My favorite thing to converse about is with the owner who paid a professional, yet worked alongside them during the functions. This is the best of both worlds. I don't expect to drive a truck as well as a career driver, and I don't expect them to apply and finish paint like I can. I also like the type that show a vehicle cause it is old but are up front about purchasing it the way it sits to let others enjoy it's existence. That doesn't just go for LT series of trucks but most anything out there. The backbiting just doesn't sit well with me. Rob
  9. Ether and a clean rag work wonders for that type of thng; settles them right down. Does a pretty good job on grandkids too...... Rob
  10. Here ya go Randy. Further knowlege to build upon.... http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070625170231AAkqx0W Rob
  11. She was texting me at the time of the photo. The content was "Help!! I was hitchhiking back to school and this lunatic picked me up and won't let me out! Rob
  12. That is what gets me going in the morning. I, (like most every Mack owner) suffer from an affliction known as "Tetrapoiditis" It is fairly easy to live with however with a good cup of coffee in the morning. Rob
  13. Just holding fond rememberances. Rob
  14. Replacement of Mouse Balls. If a mouse fails to operate or should it perform erratically, it may need a ball replacement. Mouse balls are now available as FRU (Field Replacement Units). Because of the delicate nature of this procedure, replacement of mouse balls should only be attempted by properly trained personnel. Before proceeding, determine the type of mouse balls by examining the underside of the mouse. Domestic balls will be larger and harder than foreign balls. Ball removal procedures differ depending upon the manufacturer of the mouse. Foreign balls can be replaced using the pop off method. Domestic balls are replaced by using the twist off method. Mouse balls are not usually static sensitive. However, excessive handling can result in sudden discharge. Upon completion of ball replacement, the mouse may be used immediately. It is recommended that each person have a pair of spare balls for maintaining optimum customer satisfaction. Any customer missing his balls should contact the local personnel in charge of removing and replacing these necessary items. Please keep in mind that a customer without properly working balls is an unhappy customer.
  15. The Lanova design is spoken of about midway down the page in the "Air Cell Design" of indirect injection. Rob http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indirect_injection
  16. This was sent to me by an old high school buddy. Think I'll have to rethink our relationship. Rob
  17. Ordered a new charge air cooler and it was on the doorstep the next afternoon at a fair price. Rob
  18. You know, I really should leave this one alone but just can't. Why do those Pete pictures look so familiar? Gotta admit it's usually on the shoulder but you're gonna wear out the hood hinges all the same needing to open it so much. Coarse ground black pepper corns work better for an instant leak stopper than the shit actually made to do the job does. Comes right out too when you need it to also. Rob

    Well Dammit:

Yup, replacing that old Leece-Neville with the 22SI Delco is not a bad choice. Lot cheaper to work with sometimes. Standard "J" mount too. Rob
  20. The LT series of truck always bring a high dollar. I don't doubt it fetches someplace close to his asking. The Hall-Scott engine will attract a collector crowd as there are not that many around not in collections. Rob
  21. On the END-510 engine the injectors were side mounted like a 220 Cummins. They injected fuel into a precombustion chamber that was the patented "Lanova" design. I have heard the END-672 engine was similar but as I've said it looked very similar to an END-673 to me. Can't say I paid too much attention as to injector placement, but it's been several years since I've even seen one. A friend has an END-510 in an A-51 chassis and it really does not look like an END-672, or END-673. Rob
  22. That rumor was proven shortly after the Obama administration and his environmental "Czars" took office much too long ago. Ridding the earth of harmful, detrimental hydrocarbons and putting it onto someone, or something else; then taking credit for the job. It was however proven to impede space based communication platforms due to interference. Rob
  23. The END-672 engines were stamped just like the END-673 series. From what I've seen in the exact place of the timing covers housing.
  24. If that line is constantly exhausting air either your "selectair" valve, (shift knob) or the actuating cylinders needs rebuilt. It is just a set of "O" rings and possibly gaskets. Rob
  25. That appears to be as you suspect an END-673 Mack diesel engine. First natural aspirated one I've seen with a Woodward hydraulic governor however. I've seen a few END-672 engines and they look pretty much the same to me as an END-673. All the Lanova engines I've seen are an END-510. Rob
