  1. Not really but that power rating runs longer between rebuilds than the "juiced up" versions. Rob
  2. It will run good but be underpowered when loaded. The crank, and cam sensors are terrible for reliability on those engines so carry spares as they are easy to change alongside the road. The engine is very sound and durable but the electronics and wiring are problematic in Navistar products. If the DT 466 engine is rated about 240hp and above, these are the ones I'm most familiar with giving problems. Rob
  3. I thought there was a reason for the sudden change that would be logical. Rob
  4. I think I agree with you but been too long to know for certain. Rob
  5. Your photo looks perfectly normal to me after just a few moments with "Momma" and the "adjuster". Rob
  6. If I'm having a hard time adjusting, just imagine how "Momma" is gonna feel, (and take it out on me) when she can't read what I've been up to. Rob

Time for reversion of the facade. Rob
  8. Not a bad looking truck that would "doll up" nicely. Rob
  9. Your post has nothing to do with anything but negative personal opinion. Sounds like SPAM to me. Rob
  10. I think it's an early 70's 4000 Transtar IH. Rob
  11. Ya know, "Momma" really does like her A-40 and this "L" series looks so close I may be able to swing it. Of course if I'm wrong, "I'LL SWING". Rob
  12. And I was gonna buy you your own shovel so you didn't have to borrow mine for the morning routine too. I feel so let down....... Rob
  13. Sounds like the governor linkage has come apart in the rear of the pump. The disconnected linkage cannot pull on the fuel rack, rotating the plunger barrels, exposing the fuel gallery spill port to fill the plunger barrels, allowing the upward traveling of the plunger piston to elevate to fuel pressure until the injectors "pop off" and inject fuel into the engine. At least that would be my guess cause Other Dog told me so. That Other Dog is my Hero you know. Rob

Although there ain't much meat there, when they are cooked in the colonel's 11 herbs and spices, the plump up pretty good. Take two or three to make a good meal however. Rob

    Bullhusk?

Which ache gets soothed the best with ice? The surgery, or the prolonged stiffness in the "near and dear"? Other Dog wants to know. Rob
  16. The shifter cover places the shift tower further forward in the trans. My R612 uses an RTF cover also. If you look at the top covers side by side, the RTF style is about four inches further forward than the standard RT series cover. With the exception of one shift fork, everything else is the same. and they readily swap. The trans is direct in high gear. Rob

No but when I got her at a tender young age, something like that was her home. My mistake was keeping her up late one night watching "King Kong" and now believe me, you don't want her to see any kind of cage. Rob

Man don't let my gorilla see that, she'll go bananas getting him out.
  19. I'd think so. Rob
  20. The seller is prolly a member here but I don't recognize the name. Sure is sad to not finish a project when this far along in the acquistion process. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mack-B-Model-parts-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3a68bd6b03QQitemZ250865347331QQptZOtherQ5fVehicleQ5fParts Rob
  21. http://tulsa.craigslist.org/grd/2522590882.html Might be worth a look for either the trailer, or truck. Rob
  22. Looks like he's finally throwing in the towel. http://baltimore.craigslist.org/cto/2522590575.html Rob
  23. I think you lucked out with that sciatic nerve problem she has. I've seen the RS 700 tractor at a prior show. It is very nice. No problem with the Pete photos; I don't have to live with one of those things........ Rob
  24. Sounds like it was taken from the UCMJ. They are going to get you coming or going. Simply another revenue generating venue purveyed under the auspice of "safety". Sorta like a speeding ticket for 5mph over the limit on an interstate. Rob
  25. What is this CSA2010 exactly? I had a customer at the shop last week talking about trucker being harrassed for things such as uneven tire pressure. I don't think I'd heard the term prior to this meeting. Rob
