    Looks Nice:

Looks like with license, inspection, insurance, it could be put to work easily. 1/2 way easy to maintain too with that powertrain. Rob
  3. I like that Leon. Looks sorta like an old rail car from a time gone by. Rob

  5. Far reaching and widespread would be the propogation factor within a parabolic curve. Rob
  6. The FPS 20 series of radar was still in development when the FPS 35 was fielded. The FPS 20 series while still large, is compact in comparison with a better receiver sensitivity originally. The receivers are now all digital and much better than the original design criteria. I remember the old "tube type" receivers well as they were still in use when I came up and the maintenance to keep them operational was costly. Maintenance that used to be an hourly thing is now a quarterly, or semi annual routine. Modern electronics are great sometimes. Some of the electron tubes we get to keep older sets operational come from countries that are not what we could consider "friendly" to us from a political standpoint. We can't produce the parts ourselves because of "harm" to the environment, yet the government can certainly obtain the needed parts and use them under the auspice of they were not manufactured in this country. Real "double standard" here I'm afraid that needs to change. Rob

    Outta Money

It is time for an efficient overhaul of the political system in this country and do away with the entitlments to those undeserving, or unwilling to help with a cure. A "Flat Tax" option as pitched by Steve Forbes several years ago is a good start to be even and fair. Rob

    School Buses

I was close to purchasing that one in 2001. It was in either AZ, or NM but I couldn't get it brought home reasonable. Glad it was worked with. Rob
  9. That is referred to a "Amalgamous Propogation", or "ground clutter" in radar terminology. Rob
  10. Sorta like the difference between a light bulb and a pregnant lady. You can unscrew a light bulb. Rob
  11. Well you know how the floorboards are on those R model cabs and Australia has salt water on all sides.......... I haven't a clue about this, or anything else either. Rob
  12. There are several companies that market custom plastic liners for just this purpose. Wiegand liners in Chillicothe, IL does a very good job with theirs. Rob
  13. All the glass is out of the cab and will be replaced with new. I've got to get the roof installed sometime on that truck. The panel is clamped into place but I still need to make some rain gutter for it. Rob
  14. Here is both the problem, and the solution: Problem: Screaming RTO-12513 transmission. Solution: Brand new Eaton/Fuller RTO-14613 transmission as the problem child's replacement. This is not a reman unit and was built Thursday, dyno tested and shipped on Friday, arriving at the shop yesterday. Eaton "donated" the number one flywheel housing cause I didn't have anything but Mack bells around here. I did not go with the external cooling option, but did the oil pump option as it will never be worked hard. I'll run the Eaton synthetic fluid also. Quite a story of how this all came about but sometimes is pays to buy the right person a cup of coffee. Rob
  15. Will the rear seal carrier and mechanical speedometer drive setup from an RTO-12513 readily mount up to the rear of an RTO-14613? Rob
  16. It's larger so you can satisfy more than one female at; nevermind, whole nuther subject I suppose............ Rob
  17. It was originally a Cummins powered truck so no real big deal to fit another engine. The radiator will replace with a "Valueliner" series but take a little fab work so no real serious expenses involved. The cab is probably rough at best and the reason for the tarp. The roofs on these cabs really like to rust and then water intrusion destroys the rest by rusting. I'm partial to the RL's so would like to see it worked with. Rob
  18. I'd wager it will set there quite a spell longer before being sold to either scrap, or another for parts. I hate to see dead projects deteriorate but that's the way it goes sometimes. Rob
  19. I'd read that too but can't remember where. I've seen the truck advertised in a few different places. Rob
  20. It really is a sad state of affairs with that one. Rob
  21. I'd like it enough to put my spare 1693TA under the hood. It appears to have enough room. Rob
  22. I seen that but didn't expand the photo. Rob
  23. I'll trade you the gorilla "even up" for that truck. Rob
  24. I'm not into threesomes and as I get older "sloppy seconds" are not as appealing neither. That's why you get to keep em for a bit on your own. However as an insider tip, I received a call from Ms. Bear this afternoon informing me she is starting to have "cramps", so next time during the heat of passion and you're expecting a friendly "reach around", be careful as there may be quite a surprise in store. Rob
  25. Why don't you follow me back from Lititz this year and I'll help you get started? Couple of weeks of instruction and you will be able to stand on your own to finish the project. I have a spare bedroom in the house, (with both heat, AND air conditioning) you could use, and the bushes are right outside the door for the morning drain. Rob
