  1. I don't know about a raise but he did a fine job shoveling the sidewalk afterward. All in good fun you know. Rob
  2. Remove the oil cooler from the engine and replace the "O" rings and end gaskets to the unit. Common to leak on older engines with age. The kits are about $15.00 from PAI. Rob
  3. Well given that two of my R700's, numerous engines, several gensets, and many other pieces of equipment have rode home on yours, I'd say I owe you. I should get some feedback on this one shortly. Rob
  4. I've been nipped a few times playing rough with my dogs too. Since you gave him a bit of a "thumping" back, he'll prolly remember it for a while. I'd keep on top of the "who's boss" thing for the next couple of weeks. Rob
  5. Boy calls me from the other end of the shop where I'm prepping for the roof install on my RL797 that he is finished installing a new grille into my R612. I'm thinking the extra "Western" grille plate to make all the R models look the same from the front, which I'm alright with. To my surprise, this is what I got: Rob
  6. Sounds like a 20 ampere 240VAC plug to me. Rob
  7. Hi Phil and thanks for responding. I really know nothing other than the ebay listing of this trailer. I'm getting really close to needing something as to quit borrowing, (I hate that). I did speak with another party that may be able to get a look see in the near future and I'll keep you posted. Thanks, Rob

    So Far, No Coal:

These will be installed onto the winch truck. The original painted steel bumper is really beat up and both panes to the rear sliding glass are cracked. These glass panes appear to be a homade affair and the replacement will seal up weather tight. Planning to license the truck just after the first of the year so I can get some use out of it. Rob
  9. I don't know the area at all but wondering if anyone is close to have a look see at this drop deck. Thanks, Rob http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300506910803&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT

    So Far, No Coal:

You ain't gonna believe this shit but the purchase was a brand new chrome bumper for an R model, and a sliding back glass assembly. Both for the winch truck!! I didn't know what to say so she just left me in the middle of the floor babbling........... Think the girl still loves what is left of me!! Rob
  11. Yup, no coal in the stocking or for a gift. This is a first in about 10 years. We are exchanging gifts tonight as distant family is just arriving. Rob
  12. I've never had to do that on Dayton hubs but have on other fasteners. Always have been able to get them out with the drill, torch and extractor after cooling the stud interior with a spray bottle of water. They shrink so fast at times you hear them crack when they break loose. This is what I'm going to need to do on Project R-12 on those rt. rear housings as the hex heads of the bolts are basically gone from rust. If I can ever get the replacement frame home from Colorado, I'll get started again on that project.... Rob
  13. I seen a homade "jig" for drilling those broken studs out of Dayton hubs. It was a flat steel plate with arms that adjusted and fastened to the remaining/existing studs of the hub. One would then attach their magnetic drill to the plate, and drill out the stud. This worked on all styles of Dayton hubs with various adapters. Rob
  14. You prolly better report icing on the localizer antenna array or someone could land in the dirt due to refraction!! Rob
  15. I'm like, "totally sorry man". Once again I exercise the futility of being an attempting thinker. I suppose a lot has changed in my mental capacity since commencing therapy containing hallucinogenic drugs necessary for recovery after such tramatic injury suffered by butcher knife controlled at the hands of "Momma". Rob
  16. Looks like "last year's" snow? Rob
  17. Yes, I will use him as a vendor again. Nice to get the known correct part from the start. Rob
  18. Well, I would agree with you as I've seen the same thing several times. Rob
  19. Derned Spot. Rob
  20. May have to use that one someplace. Thanks, Rob
  21. "Terror at 20,000 feet" Rob
  22. Yup, that is the kind of truck they use to right overturned rail cars. Rob
  23. As the same wishes conveyed to all from our family to yours: Rob
  24. Yup, Dat's what I'm talking about!! Rob
  25. A lot of the truckers that go by don't even notice the couple of B models out there. Some lay on the air horns as they pass. The ones usually that don't notice their surroundings are usually straining to see through the steering wheel rather than over it. Rob
