  3. That is an "anti spiking" diode. It basically absorbs and routes the transient voltage spike to ground when the switch is operated. Rob
  4. I use DEKA brand batteries almost exclusively in my gensets, many of which are mounted in aluminum shelters much resembling a semi trailer. They hold up well and everything vibrates in these enclosures. I have batteries from locomotive style 8VDC, to conventional 12VDC cells in series. I only purchase the epoxy encapsulated plate type because of the vibration factor(s). Rob
  5. Forgot I had these stuffed away but there are four G-286 Goodyear tires in 10.00RX20 size, open Dayton style rims I had received last year from a closing business. They didn't use this size any longer and these are about 95% still. They are an obsolete tire now, but are supposedly "all position". I'm wondering how they will drive lightly loaded such as will be my case. Rob
  6. Yes but a standard carbon based resistor does not release it's internal heat as readily as a ceramic case resistor does. I've seen standard plastic cased, carbon based resistors used in this application not hold up long at all. Rob
  7. "Mack" branded batteries are manufactured by East/Penn manufacturing if memory serves and they are a quality battery. Interstate batteries have lasted no better, or worse than East/Penn batteries and always cost more. I've quit using Interstate because of this. Rob
  8. Little expensive but looks sharp. Rob http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/1888124996.html

  12. Not really too physically large. They depend on airflow through the plenum to survive. Leaves and trash buildup on the cowl inlet screens take them out quickly due to reduced airflow. As Herv stated if the blower motor is run on the "high" position of the switch, the resistor is bypassed electrically and not in the circuit. Rob
  13. Doesn't appear to have had the best of care neither. Definately incorrect for the job. Rob
  14. Hi David, that was the first thing I thought of also. Rob
  15. Never been in one either. Can't remember a need for an overpriced cup of coffee. The cheap stuff is expensive enough, and only serves to make me piss. Quite certain expensive stuff would do the same. Rob

Naw, just dry and shriveled up. Kinda lonely too since "the boys" were removed from their rightfull place in society. Never had much of a leakage problem however, if you pardon the occasional dripping. Rob
  18. That is a nice looking trailer. I will call about it tomorrow. Thanks, Rob

I need to replace my car, (ole double nuts) with something else. Found a 1997 Mitsubishi 300GT VR4 that is adult owned and low mileage. Always kind of liked those since repairing a 1998 when it was new. Real scooter in stock trim but difficult to find that way. This one is not molested and hopefully Momma's hind quarters will smash in there somehow. Rob

I typically get wheels from a vendor in Chicagoland. They always have takeoffs, reconditioned, (repainted), new, and used in all flavors. Shipping may be a slight problem but I may be back towards Raleigh within a couple of weeks. Found a car I almost gotta have. Rob

I have a couple NOS pairs of the chrome "Mack" caps also. They only fit the FA505, and a few other light axles to the best of my knowlege according to the spider. They will not fit my B67 as the spider center does not have the mounting groove like my B61 does. I also like the looks of the flat "Mack" scripted plate that covers the bearings on the heavier axles when chromed. My A40 has this plate but it is Mack green. It looks nice in the center of the aluminum wheel. Rob
