1. If you are a casual, or semi professional golfer this should be of particular interest: The winner has already been announced:
2. Illiteracy in Louisiana ? How would you pronounce this child's name? She spells her name "Le-a". So how would YOU pronounce her name? Leah? .....................NO. Lee - A? ................. NOPE. Lay - a? ................. NOT A CHANCE. Lei?......................... NICE TRY, BUT GUESS AGAIN! This child attends a school in Livingston Parish, LA. Her mother is irate because everyone is getting her child's name wrong. She says it's pronounced "Ledasha." When the Mother was asked how in the world she figured it should be pronounced that way, she said, "cause the dash don't be silent!" So, if you see a name come across your desk like this, please remember to pronounce the dash. And if anyone axes you why, tell them it's 'cause the dash don't be silent! They live among us, they vote, and they breed. Rob
3.

Seems to be another uninformed decision without regards to reprecussions, or results. I have seen several of the "settlements" and observed no problems.

I can't reason how a legal state can exercise so much restraint for so many years, then take possession of property by warfare when attacked from nearly all sides, (Yom Kippor), and be expected to hand it back, or not develop it, as if nothing ever happened.

Mr. Obama seems to forget that our own great country was not handed to us without a fight with our greatest ally, England. After the loss of life and struggle sustained by both sides during the American Revolution, was the resulting growth of the United States to be handed back to any of the original combatants all the way back to the original american indians?

It is amazing how out of touch with reality the politicians are.

I too think a Palestinian state is needed/warranted. That way, if the two states refuse to get along and coexist peacefully, there will be legitimate reasons for a "just war".

Rob
4. The Israeli's do not consider Mr. Obama "friendly" to their government. Rob
5. We'll just have to get things back on track then. I don't plan to disappear too much for the balance of the year, but I'm way behind on things now. Should be getting the B-67 home later this week after I get the front brakes and such put back together on the R795 tomorrow. Rob
6. We were in slow-moving traffic the other day and the car in front of us had an Obama bumper sticker. It read: "Pray for Obama. Psalm 109:8". My wifes' Bible was lying on the dash board, I got it, opened it up to the scripture, and read the verse; Then started laughing and laughing. I then read it to her. She couldn't believe what it said. Psalm 109:8 "Let his days be few; and another take his office." Rob This incidently, is true and not made up. I seen it.
7. Too early in the game and hadn't seen a competitor yet........ Rob
8. Rightfully so. Rob
9. I must be loved. Rob
10. Got back this evening without problems. Almost 14 hours from Tel-Aviv, to Atlanta, GA, then another two hours and fifteen minutes to Chicago. Met with my son for brunch, then drove home. I'll get the photos posted in the next couple of days. A very nice trip without any hassles outside of airport security, (wasn't bad). Rob
11. First time with internet access since leaving. We are flying home tonight leaving Tel-Aviv at 11:30pm flying all night. We are eight hours ahead of CST now so should arrive early morning hours at Atlanta. Couple hours layover there, then off to Chicago, and drive home. A very safe trip for myself and family. I've taken almost 950 photos and I'll get most posted to photobucket after sorting them. The archelogical digging and history over here is unbelievable. If you are interested in that kind of thing it is a gold mine of information to be had. Talk later, Rob
12. In less than an hour, Momma, myself, and mother in law are "leaving on a jet plane" bound for Israel to visit the "Holy Lands". Momma says I need help with a correction of my ways so I've got to go..... We must be getting old as this is our first vacation without the kids. See ya'll upon my return. Rob
13. A configured R model cab, and hood to fit a B model running gear and chassis. Rob
14. WTF????????????
15. Hodges heavy haul in OKC has, (or had) one of those monsters with a Cummins engine. I climbed up on it to have a look around. It isn't like a Cat 797 but sure is large for it's timeframe. I think the engine was a KT series but not sure of the horsepower. Rob
16. Yup. They harnessed the power measured in Dynes, and ran with it for many years. Rob
17. I agree with you on the need for good tools when you make a living with them. Fortunately Momma agrees with my philosophy and doesn't really care what I buy, (until I bring something home with a dog on the hood); Then it's a different story altogether...... This company, (Grey Pneumatic) has sockets up to 3" in the 3/4" drive and they are on the rack should I need something bigger than I have with this set. I really got the Christmas list going now cause I really want a 3/4" impact wrench and don't have any money to buy it. Momma says I done spent my allowance with this socket purchase and I ain't even going to think about asking her for money!! Good thing I got kids right??? Rob
18. Hi David, the rollers were removed from this cab but I have the complete setup from another that would be used, and the tracks are in the hood they roll in. I never thought about the radiator support rods. This is the truck I am putting the Detroit into so I'll fabricate something to work as I don't think OEM rods would clear on the sides. Do they use a cab leveling valve or is air pressure just regulated for those bags? Rob
19. A lot of the shit Sears sells is also made in China. It is still branded "Craftsman" too. When Cooper bought or took over Crescent and several others, they went to hell also. I really don't do Craftsman tools. I've got scarred knuckles to attest to it. I was always able to bust their ratchet teeth with my hands. What Sears marketed 30+ years ago is a different calibre than they sell these days. Rob
20. I bought a nice set of Grey Pneumatic six point impact sockets that range from 3/4" to 2.5". They were originally sold by my favorite truck parts supplier, and I got them less than 1/2 price with 75% of the sockets never being out of the carrying case. On the plus side is either place I use for a vendor will honor the warranty. Now have to purchase an impact gun, ratchet, and a few extensions to round out the set. Thinking about going with one of those new IR brand "XD" type. Thanks for all the help. Rob
21. You are correct and the term "Magnadyne" was symbolic of the "L", or flathead design engine of Mack design. Rob
22. I've got a cab from an 89 R690 tractor that is/was on air ride. I did get the crossmember and both of the bags are pulled apart. The crossmember was actually hanging by the bags when the cab was lifted with a forklift to set on my trailer. What else will need to be purchased to reinstall this onto another truck? Thanks, Rob
23. Hi Monty, a little "loud" for my personal taste but it does have appeal. Rob
