    I hear you

Isn't that just a 1/2 second faster than your normal interval? If you are real quiet about "busting a nut", you can hear your testicles collapse with those supercharged aids you now sport. Rob
  2. Under 100 degrees. I say cool.Rob
  3. I like blue also but Mack green is too "classic" to not favor it highly in these trucks of the "antique" age. Starting with the later "R" series, almost anything works but the original four or five stock colors available during the "A" and "B" series production runs are hard to beat.Rob
  4. As Glenn stated. That crankshaft end clearance if much greater is multiplied several fold by the clutch linkage pivot points. If your crankshaft is "walking" in the block, either the thrust faces are worn on the mains, or thrust faces on the crankshaft are worn. By design, when the throttle is applied the crankshaft tries to push towards the rear of the engine exhibiting rubbing action on the thrust faces. A crank kit may be in order. Rob
  5. The inside of the cab was steel with jute backing under the mat. Only the underside of the floorpan and outside of the firewall were covered in "Line-X" material. The inside was painted the original green.Rob
  6. I hope he continues on that path. I have no problem placing Mack trucks into second place behind education. Uncle Rob
  7. I hate making up for the deficiencies and lack of caring from our teachers to our youth. This is also reflective of the breakdown of family values passed from parent to offspring. There is no practical reason a teenage, or pre teen adolescent in this country should have the lack of grammar and spelling skills exhibited by many. If parents don't start reengaging with their family's upbringing, further moral decay is inevitable. Rob
  8. Well, he's improving but would prolly still think this is the bestest twuk in da wurld. Rob
  9. Maradyne no longer supports the "Air-O-Matic" system although they manufacture the parts. A guy named Art in the M35 military truck club purchased the exclusive rights to distribute the parts and systems three years ago. The parts prices went up significantly with this also. Rob
  10. I certainly wouldn't hide that from you guys. That truck really was nice. I did climb in, and all over it but had no camera with me. Nice guy to talk with and the rebuild was still very fresh. One thing I remember especially well is that the cab floor underside, and firewall was completely "Line-X" covered in red. It really looked well done. Rob
  11. Is this the same engine referred to as a "Fleet 270"? If so I know where a very good running one in a wrecked truck resides with a Fuller behind it. Non turbo engine but 855 cubic inches. Rob

    Rob:

No but when all settles out I'll fill everyone in on what has transpired. I'm afraid "Momma's" patience with my truck acquisitions has reached a peak. There are a couple of RS, and RL series trucks I'm eyeing but something is probably going to need to leave prior to them heading this way. So far, all my "Westerns", and the A-40 are safe, (and blessed) from the powers that be. Thanks, Rob
  14. I love the "V" model also. Ohh sorry, different subject altogether. I've had my R-190 for 27 years and still use it. Rob

    Rob:

The first of course. The second has far too many vile inconsistencies and leads a path of self destruction.Rob
  16. I was referring to the type of brush about an inch in diameter with the bristles pointing out the end. You bear on the drill forcing the bristles into the pits from the rust.My wife got tired of parking across the street and told me to build a building so that's what I did. Rob
  17. While Bruce was sunbathing naked at the beach in Jamaica for the sake of civility, and to keep it from getting sun burned, he had an old straw hat over his private parts. A woman walks past and says snickering, "If you were a gentleman, you'd lift your hat for a lady." Bruce raised an eyebrow and replied, "If you were just a bit better looking, "it" would lift itself." Rob
  18. WTF!!!!!!! And you want to get ahead in life? Not a snowball's chance in hell of getting anyplace driving one of those things. You'd be better off with a "U" model Mack and a couple fat chicks than what you got going now!!! Get out while you still can. Welcome back Joe. Good to see you post again. Hope the boys are doing well and growing like weeds. Rob
  19. I certainly hope so and is open with expression of overwhelming gratitude for your input.
  20. Grab a stiff crimped wire brush to chuck into a drill. These work well and do not generate enough heat into the panel to warp it. Be careful with a flap disc. They can generate a lot of heat and you really don't need to bear down on the grinder/sander. Let the machine do the work. You would be well served to purchase a 5hp single stage air compressor and purchase needed materials in larger quantity than is available in spray cans. There is very little actual product in those cans and a lot of propellant. Rob
  21. Thanks! I was lost without you guy's keeping me on the "straight and narrow" path of life bettering the goodness of my heart and all that ole shit. Rob
  22. Okie Dokie. I'm certain he will appreciate your help.
  23. There's a reason Homer is one of my heros.Rob
  24. While we all like, admire, and respect he first lady, that is a side of her I really don't need to see.Rob
