  1. Only three days??? Man I was getting two weeks!! No wonder I didn't learn nothin.
  2. That is exactly what a sewer contractor did around here a few years ago with a 440V8 Mack and 12 speed. Ran and sounded very good The truck was bright red, very nicely rebuilt from scratch with tastefully done "gold leafing", and chrome for his logo and trim. He pulled a new "Fontain Elite" detach trailer with it. Used to see this several times a year but it suddenly dissappeared? Haven't seen it since. Rob
  3. This is nothing out of the ordinary in the equine, or cattle business. Also a lot less expensive than paying a vet to administer death, then calling either National By-Products, or Ralston-Purina for a pickup to be processed into dog food. Rob

I'd go ahead and do it. Without that lopsided sheet metal in place it has a good chance of staying on the wheels.
  5. Well thanks, appreciate it.Rob
  6. ebay has them from time to time. Many different variety's are available.
  7. I've not touched mine and it still sets in the back of the shop on the outside wash bay. I'll try to remember some photos tomorrow. Rob
  8. You have to establish the "pecking order" around the house. Girls don't like "girlymen". They want a big strong shoulder to rely upon for support. You don't have to be a troublesome badass, just be right. If the girls don't see you as reasonable and fair, they are for someone else. If there is something you want however, (whatever it may be), go out and get it cause nobody is gonna give it to you and it just may be worth fighting for. Look like a fine upstanding young man to me with all that grease and dirt in the earlier photo. Best of all working on a worthwhile project with family. Uncle Rob
  9. The ETC, (Electric Turnover Control) option was manufactured and vendored to Mack by the Uranus Corporation for a time being. Discounting maintenance, a fat chick was much easier to acquire, and replace when they no longer performed within design parameters. Both systems performed admirably keeping lopsided trucks with the rubber side down. To this day remember: Do not let a fat chick into the cab of a lopsided truck on the left!! Although they may offer a soft and cushy "squish zone" to minimize sheet metal damage, this is still to be considered a nuisance and easy to prevent by requiring entrance through the right door only. It's a lot less cumbersome to just put the truck into second gear and shove it forward about five feet, then dump the clutch as the same principle applies. The lower the gear, (or more reduction) will spin the engine faster at a slower road speed. First gear will typically drag the tire due to too much reduction.Rob
  11. I keep forgetting to turn the ringer back on with the phone. Been in meetings almost an entire month hashing out the future. Think I picked up 35 pounds over the past month eating in hotel restaurants where "Momma" can't see me. Got to watch all the hotel porn I wanted too. Makes me wonder what it would be like to be with a woman that didn't weigh in at 307 pounds. I'm afraid to jump on the scale and look. Rob
  12. Ahhh shit I tried the grapefruit trick. Damned things made my ass cheeks pucker so tight "Momma" had to go out to the tool shed for a pry so I'd quit spraying in an angular fashion.Damned hard to get any form of constipated on a grapefruit diet. Rob
  13. Well I can't say shit about cooking anything on a grille manufactured for the purpose. I've always got by with a burn barrel and some old cardboard but I'll take the opportunity to wish you a happy birthday in advance. Rob
  14. Didn't say you were queer. Just suggesting you don't grow up that way. Your grammar needs work along with spelling: "worse" than chump is more fitting that "worst". Rob

Stay away from the tire when and if the engine starts.Rob

That would be using the rotating mass of the tire and hub assembly as an "inertia" starter through the driveline.Rob
  17. Highest regards to the accomplishment Skip. Looks really nice and something to be proud of. Rob
  18. Not a good setup at all. You are correct about the steer axle weight. Stopping this type affair on wet pavement gets interesting. Rob
  19. Is that all you got? You CAN do better.Rob
  20. Strain for the big chunks. They don't taste too bad the second time around.Rob
  21. That one will send Vinny in front of the mirror. (He doesn't like girls remember) Rob
  22. Well shit!! My 'puter fits amongst the ranks too!! It has to be some kind of omen. Rob
  23. Take a hell of a lot more than that to embarrass me. Even a brand new "U" model has scrap value across the scales. I didn't get raised a fool. Rob
  24. I've been organizing his exit path. You know I wouldn't want to impede his progress moving back to Kenya.Rob
  25. That reinforcement bar is commonplace and easily available salvage. Expensive to purchase new if even available.Rob
