  1. “This truck donated by: Republic Services”. It’s not leaving. They are a great addition to the collection.
  2. Welcome. To the forum. I agree it might be a B46. I have one with an aluminum hood. As was said, the concave cab is a negative to most people. I think they are neat. You better be skinny though. Tough to give a value but I would not pay $3500 for it. We paid $440 for ours but it is in much worse shape. Definitely get the serial number off the frame. Mike.
  3. Good work, Sarkis. It really looks nice.
  4. My father has an early 70’s single axle R chassis on springs that he would likely sell. He gave the axle shafts away. The rear is likely no good so you could put air under it with no regrets. Mike.
  5. I was thinking that was Radnor’s truck. That’s nice. I don’t remember seeing it.
  6. If this is the same as the Rosemont parade my parents were there in their Superliner. Mike.
  7. I paid $120 for one in similar shape at an auction. I didn’t need it but I figured that was cheap enough. One has been advertised for many months for a couple thousand and has not sold. Mike.
  8. Good work. I’d like to know what a tank like that would cost. I paid $1000 for a good use one and was glad to find it but would have liked to pay less. Yours looks nicer. Mike.
  9. This one lived all it’s working life on CA. RL712LST. Mike.
  10. Rob. I sent you a message. Mike
  11. I assume it is different than what a 1973 R685 would take. If not I am interested. Mike.
  12. I bought one off Kevin All. Look him up if you can’t find one. Mike
  13. The person making converting glider into a working truck is the same person who cut up the first R model fire truck. Michael.
  14. I wouldn’t think it is worth more than $1500 no matter what it is. If the engine is stuck it is worth way less. I think it is worth saving though. Unfortunately a whole truck in that kind of shape sometimes will not even bring scrap price. It might be worth more than scrap price in parts. If it would turn out to be something unusual it could be worth more. You should try posting it on the SPAAMFAA Facebook page. Good Luck. Mike.
  15. Watts has had a two for one Christmas special the past several years. I bought a set and they look good. Mike.
  16. I believe the original is in the LA fire museum.
  17. It was marked as sold on a Facebook group. I guess not.
  18. We need a little more information. Are you buying or selling? Insurance value? What model is it ? What condition? And pictures would help a lot. Thanks Mike.
  19. I have one on my ‘29 Chevy coupe and my ‘79 Nova. I believe Fisher body company was bought by GM sometime in the ‘20’s.
  20. My father says he’s going tubeless. Thanks anyway.
  21. I’m interested. Let me pass this along to my father. They are stud piloted? How are the stud holes? Thanks. Mike.
  22. I’m not a ford guy but that is a pretty cool car. It must be a blast to drive. You are in a whole different horsepower to weight ratio with that. Welcome. Mike
  23. Most of the trucks in the museum are owned by the museum. There are several trucks are loan at a time for the specific exhibits. Ron’s ED I there and Matt Landis’ DM, There are several Macks owned by the museum at American On Wheels and there are a few fire trucks stored at Schuylkill Historical Fire Society. All of these are worth a visit. Mike.
  24. I saw this. Not a bad looking truck. The price is ok and not too far from home for me. Unfortunately I’m not in the market right now.
  25. Here is the D model from behind the mack museum. It is looking for a home. There is a restored D model inside that is not. John Chalmers also has one that is pretty rough. Mike.
