  1. If you send me your number I’ll text a picture of my gold leaf. It will not let me post it. Mike.
  2. Air brakes were very uncommon on this vintage of fire truck.
  3. I bought it. It is aluminum. I haven’t done anything with it yet but am going to polish it up and put it on my father’s B66. Mike.
  4. A B73 has Cummins power. A B75 has Mack power. I don’t know what a B77 has but someone else will. The L Model style cab was an option. They could also have the standard B cab.
  5. A lot of radiator shops also do fuel tanks. I use Marko Radiator in Shenandoah Pa. not close to you though. Mike.
  6. I’ll take pictures of mine if I think of it next time I am there. Mike.
  7. Nice. I saw the pictures in your other posts. I have a 1947 85LS and a 1972 CF719. Keep the pictures coming on your progress. Mike.
  8. You might be able to get one at NAPA. Take the old one with you. I had mine rebuilt by White Post Restoration in Virginia. The put a sleeve in them and guarantee them for life. It costs a couple hundred dollars but I think it is worth it.
  9. Welcome to the forum. Let’s see some pictures of your fire trucks. Mike
  10. I’d be interested in the glove box if it is in my budget. What are you asking for it?
  11. Welcome to the forum. Beautiful truck. What is the serial number. My father has 1098 and I have 1379. I looked at a non-restored Harrisburg PA B95F1138 this week that is for sale but I passed on it. Have fun with it and hopefully we will meet at Macungie this year. Mike.
  12. Welcome to the forum. I live in Berks County. Mike.
  13. That’s about an hour from me. It might be a little closer to FWD. I would check it out for someone who is serious but I won’t be buying it. I paid a little more for my wrecker but got a whole lot more truck. Mike.
  14. Billy T. Neat story. What are 3 9’s?
  15. Mine has a 12 volt battery in it and the lights work. It could have been converted when it was restored in the ‘70’s. I don’t know what kind of starter it has in it. It is a firetruck. Mike.
  16. Yes. I was only there on Saturday and didn’t see him till I was leaving. He’s as riding around in his John Deere Gator with George Tackaberry. He also has a Construction Equipment day in the spring if you want another chance to get out here. I don’t know the date and have never been there. Mike.
  17. John. Great story but I think you have your serial numbers wrong. Mike
  18. Most of the trucks in the boneyard were not used in the business. In the past I believe Roger Gerhart has bought trucks to sell, to save from the scrap dealer or just because he liked them. I have not noticed any new acquisition recently. He is a really nice guy. If you see him you should ask him. Mike.
  19. They boneyard is definitely a highlight for me. I have taken pictures of the same trucks year after year. Things used to change more frequently but not much has changed since last year. They do sell the old trucks, but only whole. No parts. A couple trucks have been listed for a decade and have not gotten any better. Some kids got in there about two years ago and broke a lot of glass. That is really sad to see. Some emblems have disappeared too. If you saw something back there that you liked, give them a call. Mike.
  20. Congratulations and welcome to the forum. What model did you get? Is it an E model or L model? I don’t know how much you know so don’t take offense. Driving them is not very hard, but there is no power steering or power brakes. You have to be certain the brakes will stop it before you get in a situation where you cannot stop. Of course you will need to double clutch, but there is nothing to that. Have fun with it and let’s see some pictures. Mike.
  21. There are two different sizes of Lanova. The big one is an 862. I don’t know what the smaller one is. I think newer manifolds will fit on the 862 but am not certain.
  22. Welcome to the forum. Many of us like Autocars too. I have a 1950 C90 that is pretty nice and a 1960 DC75 that is not very nice at all. Mike.
  23. That’s awesome. You should have left your car and driven that home.
  24. Thanks. Maybe I’ll look into that. They were using the truck and needed king pins for inspection. I have it register as Antique so it doesn’t need inspection. Hopefully it does not affect the safety. Mike.
  25. The good news is it will never allow you to shift from 1st to reverse. It is hard enough to shift from 1st to 2nd. Mike.
