  1. On my 1925, I have to push down then it is left and back I think. Push down and try all directions. My AB is different than my AC. I’d try Olsen Gaskey if I needed them. Good work so far. Mike.
  2. You could try Cal Little in Hummelstown PA. Search Pine Hill trailer sales. His number should come up. He has several parts 85LS's. Mike
  3. I strap a cub cadet gas tank to the mirror and run a hose to the carb. The gallon only lays a few minutes with a 707. You have more time with the 460 or whatever it is in the B422. As far as long term goes it depends what you want. There are lots of square steel tanks out there or you can clean and coat your. Appropriate Round aluminum tanks are harder to come by and more expensive. You can use newer tanks if you don't care about originality. Mike.
  4. They look good. If the engine is ok and all other things are equal, the B422 would be the better truck to keep. Might as well keep them both though. Have fun with them. Mike.
  5. I was shown a paper on Mack letterhead the explained the letters for the A models and it said X is for excavator. Mike.
  6. I used white post for the wheel cylinders, master cylinder and brake booster on my 405A. I am very happy with their work. Only send one side at a time and send them UPS. The postal service lost my package the first time. I had to go looking for parts which was what I was trying to avoid. Mike.
  7. I had a rectifier built for my 405A by a company in Adamstown Pa. it cost $300-400. The old one was arcing really bad but the truck still ran fine. I was afraid it would catch on fire. I can get you the contact info next week if you need it. Whay is your serial number? My father has B85F1098 which is a 1955 from Harrisburg PA. Mike
  8. I thought George bought a highbinder and Hank Doornekamp bought a Crackerbox. There might have been three trucks on that trailer. Mike.
  9. That's it. Thanks for posting. It has some rusybut isn't to bad for an old township plow truck. I compounded the whole thing, front to back, with steel wool. Mike
  10. I bet it is a DC75 Autocar or similar. It is not really loudest on the hood. It is rust running down off the Autocar Diesel emblem.
  11. I thought I had already responded to this but guess not. I have a 1961 Chevy C80 with a 348, independent front suspension and air brakes. The two speed rear does not work so it is very slow. It could use new king pins but the previous owner could only find one pair in California for $1000, so it did not get them. Probably none available now. I had it at Macungie this year. Maybe someone had a picture. Mike.
  12. Made in Buffalo New York, I believe. There is a really rough original cab and chassis for sale near me. He wants $2000 for it and engine is stuck. Actually there is no cab.
  13. I love the white walls. I have a few Autocar factory photos with lots of pin striping and white walls. The trucks really look sharp.
  14. I have several radiators that would fit behind your shell. I'm in PA. Where are you?
  15. I'll take it. Just kidding. How about some more information? Location, condition, specs, price... pictures would be great but some people are having trouble up loading them. Welcome to the forum. Mike.
  16. It is actually a faded orange. Not yellow at all. I'd like to have it but they are not parting with it.
  17. If that truck is owned by Cliff Sharp it was bought new by Doehler Jarvis in Pottstown. I have a 1972 R685 from them. I need a radiator for it. Mike
  18. Andy Lieder put a twin turbo 864 in the F tractor. He got two radiators from me for it, but he only paid for one. I am waiting over 3 years for him to make good on the second one. Mike.
  19. The seller says "America On Wheels" which is a museum associated with Mack. I thought this truck was being donated to the Mack Museum a couple years ago but it never showed up. Mike.
  20. Will it stay a fire truck or be taken apart?
  21. Not fake news. They were asking $7000 for a while. I guess they are trying another approach.
  22. My '72 will work turning it either way. It only takes about 1/8 turn.
  23. I have an 42", aluminum, flat-top, crawl-through sleeping off and International 4300. It has been kept inside since taken off the truck in 1997. I would want $800 for it. I think it has red or maroon interior. I can get pictures if you are interested. What happened with the MH roll back? Mike
  24. Welcome to the forum Chris. That's a pretty neat truck with the winch and track. I hope the purchase works out. I'm in PA but my brother lives in Lufkin. Mike.
  25. I saw that buckle and considered buying it but cheaped out.
