  1. We had some NOS hood rollers that we put on my R688. They only help up about 9 months. They must deteriorate in storage. I was going to get new from Mack. Hopefully they hold up longer. Mike.
  2. Sounds interesting. I gave a call and have pictures coming. I'll post them when I get them. Nice guy to talk to. Mike.
  3. Good luck with your project. There are lots out there. Superdog's Intergral L would be a good choice above. He is in Iowa. Of the pictures you posted above I am pretty sure the first two pictures are from Daryl Gushee's in Maine. The third picture is of course Matt Pfahl's B61 from CT. The fifth picture is Roger Gerhart's L model with a Lanova Diesel from Pennsylvania. I don't know the other two trucks. Mike.
  4. I did not but I did recommend joining.
  5. I took my son to the Hay Creek Festival. It had nothing to do with this truck being there. It is pretty nice. It was nice to meet Jarrad. Mike
  6. It looks great. I'm surprised I haven't seen it going down the road yet.
  7. This has a 549 V8 gas and a big top loader rear. Definitely used for heavy hauling. I would like to fix it up but it is low on my project list. Mike.
  8. I saw that Hay Creek is having ab antique auto/machinery section but I will not be able to make it. Hopefully you can bring it to Mack Day in Lititz on Oct 7. Here is the Fleetstar I mentioned. Not a Mack and not too nice but I still like it. Mike
  9. It would have been built with a 707 cid gas engine. ENF707. It should have chrome valve covers and dual spark plugs, coils and distributors. Will you post a picture?
  10. I think the owner, Chap Hastings, posted on here at some point. He is a member of our local ATCA chapter. Mike.
  11. Nice truck. My father saw this on the road on Saturday. I think I have a picture of this truck that my father took in the late 70's. I have a IH Fleetstar that belonged to your company. I don't have any answers to your questions. Good luck with it. Mike.
  12. The old owner was asking $20,000. I don't know if Mehan owns it or it is on consignment.
  13. This truck is owned and restored by Don Shumaker, the former curator of the Mack Museum and a former Mack engineer. He might be able to help you if you contact the museum.
  14. If it was from a NY terminal it would have had a NY commercial plate and a TMT plate. I have been told they need both no matter what state they were from if they ran through NY but not sure if that is true.
  15. Nope. $55. This one sold for $140.
  16. Thanks for the prices. The IH auction last month had similar condition trucks but much lower prices. I was sure that they would go for more if they were Macks and this proves it. Scrap must be low. This KB 8 sold for $55. I should have bid.
  17. I'll take it if it is still available. Don't want to call you at 10pm but maybe I will. I spoke with the guy you got it from but the trucks were already spoken for. Mike.
  18. If you get it and are thinking of fixing it I have a nice tandem chassis that I would sell for cheap. It has R mode rears in it though. Mike.
  19. Welcome to the forum, Sean. Congrats on the B61 purchase. I don't know if anyone mentioned but we like pictures. There are doors around. I have a couple but I am sure there are some closer to you. I probably have a starter too but would have to look. Good luck with it. Mike
  20. New owner.
  21. That truck is very similar to mine. Mine is a commercial A30 chassis with an American tank body. The truck is also from Ohio. I wish I could find a pump. If anyone has one please let me know. Mike
  22. I think it is a regular coupe cab and not a sedan cab. Mike
  23. Dan, Did you look into buying it? I called Kansas City to complain about the sale and they told me the asking price was $150,000. Even at a quarter of that it was out of my price range, yet alone double that. I do love the truck though. I'm glad it was going back to New England. Dennis Yaworski was pretty upset about it when I talked to him a couple months ago. Mike
  24. It found another one to drag home.
