  1. Welcome to the forum. Where are you located? Watts is the best place to look for parts. They also host this site. They have hub caps for the C600, but the A40 probably takes a different style. You can look for them on EBay but I don't see them often. A great place to find stuff is at the ATCA National Truck Show in Macungie PA. http://www.antiquetruckclubofamerica.org/news.html. It is on the Friday and Saturday of Father's Day weekend every year. If you are not a member of ATC(Antique Truck Club of America) you should join. http://www.antiquetruckclubofamerica.org/store.html. You can place a free want add in their magazine,Double Clutch. http://www.antiquetruckclubofamerica.org/advertise.html. Let's see some pictures of the trucks. Mike.
  2. I know where there are two Mack trailers in northeast PA. Maybe they are not there anymore. They were in bad shape, but they still existed. I have thought many times about buying them, but always spend my money on something else. One was a flat trailer. The other had a cole body with multiple doors down each side. I have pictures somewhere but I don't know where. Mike
  3. You can drive your dream truck whenever you want. I'd like Tom Spencer's BX that is now owned by Iowa 80 and the Wellington F model that is owned by ATHS. Might as well dream big.
  4. Here is one is Houston. https://m.facebook.com/groups/61776127093?view=permalink&id=10153919602857094&src=email_notif
  5. Congratulations. I hear full costs are cheap to start but go up dramatically as it ages. The exhaust gets worse too.
  6. Is that the engine serial number because I have never seen a truck serial number like that, neither commercial not fire. Mike
  7. Great story. Maybe we can get more trucks headed to needy departments.
  8. I'm am interested in the extinguisher if load star passes on it.
  9. Congratulations. What's the story? Where is Palm Coast? Don, how did you play into this? I often wonder why more trucks are not donated to needy companies. Three of my local companies consolidated and they have a 1988 Pierce sitting in the unused house. They tried to sell it to me but I only offered $3000. I don't want it and I don't need it, but they could donated it to a company that both wants it and needs it. It would be doing what it was made to do rather than sitting unused and unneeded. I only paid $2900 for my CF just out of service. I doubt that money made a big difference to the company I bought it from but the truck could have made a big difference to a needy community. Anyway, congratulations again. I hope it serves the community well. Mike
  10. The first picture on the Hank's thread is my father's B85.
  11. On a different subject, did you sell the F model? I saw it listed on Craigslist.
  12. Your barn looks great. It's nice to make a piece of history useful (just like old trucks).
  13. You're still working on that truck? I would have quit on it long ago and torn something else apart that I would never put back together. I would have put rainex on the windshield. It's way easier than fixing the wipers. Or maybe just hoped it wouldn't rain. Mike.
  14. You were right. Looks like someone took the 'buy it now'. I would have if I had any money.
  15. Sorry he hear about your loss, but the money is nice. The White looks great in pictures. If it were closer and I wasn't out of money I would be interested. Mike
  16. Happy new year. I have a headache.
  17. ekennedy21: are they your trucks? if not, whose are they? they are awesome.
  18. Do you have a pre-restoration picture of this truck?
  19. So where are they? Did Gary Mahan get the EHU also? the BM looks like the one that Bala has, but maybe that is not a sleeper.
  20. Bob Theimer also had a beautifully restored EHU or similar model. I only saw it once at Macungie next to his CH the year before his auction. Where did that end up? I love that Dunn CH. I wish I had had the money for the Dunn AC when it sold last. It was only 10 miles from me, but he was asking $40,000 for it. (Actually I wish it was cheaper.) Now it is in Florida. I finally got a copy of the July 30 issue of Old Cars Weekly that has a story about Macungie and mentions my H613. Maybe someone else can make it look less like a U model. Mike.
  21. This will change. One last year. One this year. We will see what next year brings. Nice purchase. Have fun with it(and the next one).
