  1. My F715 got re-cabbed in 1984 then was put back to work. It is not perfect but much better than it would be otherwise. You have a great truck Erick. I hope you find someone interested in it. Mike.
  2. 39minimack looks so old in that picture.
  3. Anybody know the serial number on either of these?
  4. We were there. Saw some good friends. Didn't see many of you guys. I was glad I went. I planned my vacation around Mack Day. I leave for Tokyo at 6am. I wore long johns and insulated boots. I was plenty warm. Mike.
  5. Neat trucks. Nice purchases. Certainly worth a couple thousand a piece.
  6. The R model and the B613 look neat. Which two did you buy? I'm sure you really did need them.
  7. In that case I'm glad you didn't come. There wouldn't have been any deals.
  8. Should have come to the auction last weekend in Germansville PA. Doors sold cheap. I didn't buy any though. They are out there someone will sell you one or two.
  9. Welcome to the forum. Where are you from? Mike
  10. This truck appears to be owned by Mike Kitsock who is the new curator of the Mack Museum. At least the add appears to have been posted by him. Mike http://m.ebay.com/itm/Other-Makes-fire-truck-original-/291574792999?nav=SEARCH
  11. Beatiful weather, lots of nice trucks, great company and pig stomach for supper. Looks like you are having a great time Leslie. See you on Saturday.
  12. My father and i will be there Saturday. Is anyone coming from the Homer City area? I bought a pair of White fenders that need a ride east. Thanks. Mike
  13. Unfortunately I am not in the market for a Crackerbox at the moment. I am spending all my money on a run-down farm. I only saw that green Crackerbox once 10 or more years ago on Rt 100 in Gilbersville PA, but when I mentioned it to my father he had he saw him all over. There also used to be a old-school green and white freightliner cabover that I would see frequently on 422 around Pottstown, but that was at least 7 years ago. Mike
  14. The B42 had a not so nice frame splice. The B71 wasn't a bad deal for a rare truck. I know I would not have sold my parts for what these brought. The fuel tanks brought maybe $150. That was the only fuel tanks. No air tanks. I didn't stay to see the Z28 sell.
  15. I think only a little over $100, maybe $130. A B61 hood with all the trim including two Thermodyne emblems sold for $130 or so. Part of it was we knew each other so people would hold back a lite if their buddy was bidding.
  16. Not much. Doors $50-80 each. Rough fenders only $20 or so. I bought the B75 cast radiator for $45 and only $5 or so for the shutters. Most of the parts weren't great though. I compete MH seat and another set of cushions went for $180. I could have used them but not at that price. The B71 had 11.00x24 rubber. Mike
  17. B42 w/673 $6100 B71 $8200 1949 Freuhauf $1800 1957 Freuhauf $3200 1979 Great Dane $2900 Snow Runners $700 each I didn't buy any of them. Mike.
  18. Nice work. I hope the other door is higher or your stack won't fit out. (Or is it just an illusion?)
  19. Wow. That's nice. Congratulations.
  20. Neat truck. That is a pretty big claim 'rarest u.s. built truck'. There are a lot of trucks that there are only one or two left of the entire marque.
  21. I might go to this auction to see if the trailers sell cheap. Maybe buy some parts too. You can never have too many parts.
  22. I borrowed this picture with permission from Gene Herman. This was at a show in Mass in 2013. It was at Macungie a few years back. There was a picture in Double Clutch and a mention that they couldn't get the number off the radiator. Mike
  23. Not the best picture, but this is my 1950 LFT and 1947LS85. You can see he ridge on the top of he LS fender where the LFT is smooth. Disregard the dent in the LS fender. It was there when I got the truck. Mike
  24. The LS model above is a pre-1949. It has what Harvey Eckart calls "high crowned" fenders. 1949 and later have the fender with the large flat section on the side. Both of these styles are different from what is on the commercial L models. Thanks for the pictures. They are all really neat trucks. I like the LS and the B tiller the most. Mike
  25. Neat truck skeleton. I know where there are some Sterlings like that. Unfortunately not for sale. I'm still looking for AB parts if anyone has any. Mike
