  1. What can we say? You make us all feel like lazy slugs. At least someone is getting something done in this weather. I need a heated shop. Mike
  2. I can't get the picture with this phone.
  3. Don't bother calling about it. It was picked up a half hour before I called about it on Saturday. He said he priced it low to sell it quickly. He was successful. Is it headed to Iowa? Mike
  4. Do you know Watt's Mack provides this forum? It is nice to support them when they are selling something that you need. Often times they are the only place to get the part brand new. You might be able to find one on ebay or at a flea market, but time is money. Might as well order it from Watts and be done with it. Mike
  5. Keep it up. One question: you had said previously that you were waiting on the glass to paint the cab. Wouldn't it be better to paint the cab before you put the glass in? Then you wouldn't have to be as careful about masking. I wouldn't tackle a job like this so whatever you do is way better than me. Thanks for the pictures. Mike
  6. There weren't many made. Maybe only that one. I think Port Vue still owns it. Maybe not. I could be completely wrong about both things. Harvey Eckert said Mack priced the semi-open cab so very high on the R model to discourage fire companies from ordering it. It was pretty effective. Mike
  7. Your name is not Jim Williams. You can have it back if you want it.
  8. I know there has been some discussion of these trucks in the past. Tom Smith gave me this magazine several years ago when I got my MH. Hopefully this article was not posted before. Sorry they are out of order. Read 1 first. Enjoy. Mike Mack MH 4x4(1).pdf Mack MH 4x4(2).pdf Mack MH 4x4(3).pdf Mack MH 4x4(4).pdf
  9. I'll double your money and give you $2 for it. Maybe even through in 50 cents for picking it up.
  10. All our our B models have fixed shutters: B42, B422, B66, B70, B85F. These are all gas jobs. I can't speak for the diesels. We don't have any of them. My father took the shutters off his B66 and replaced them with a fixed grill. I like the shutters better. Mike.
  11. Agreed. Truck has no historical value without the body. Nobody would want it as a gas job. Unfortunately, just some good sheet metal to restore another truck. I have a single axle I would sell for a lot less. Mike
  12. I need a radiator to fit a 1974 R685. It is important that it does not leak. The one I have already does that. Close to SE PA or able to deliver to York or Macungie would be great. It is for this truck. . Thanks. Mike. 610. 764. 8283.
  13. The cab is pretty bad. Never considered putting an engine back in it. Sakis, I'll have to look at those things. It does not have carpet. Not sure about the others. I was thinking about cutting he front off and mounting it on the wall. Probably never do that though. Mike.
  14. Yep. North Penn. He drove this one. I showed him pictures of these trucks years ago. He said he would like to have the cab but nothing ever came of it. I gave this one to a buddy for storing a couple trucks for me.
  15. Post some pictures here or send them to me at yarnallvmd@hotmail.com and I will post them. I spent the day moving this.
  16. I didn't know you were working on a U model. Nice work either way. Mike
  17. I'm surely not in the position to buy anything since I got evicted from the place I was keeping 7 trucks for free, but it would nice to pict a picture with a truck, especially the LTSW. Good luck, Mike.
  18. That didn't take long. Could you smell the FWD? The IH is not mine but the others are. I would part it, but I bought it for the cab and engine. I will keep them if I can't sell the whole thing. What do you need? Your truck looks pretty complete to me. It has and RD 501 and a 5 speed. Oddly enough it is four wheel drive. Unfortunately it has hydraulic brakes. What specs do you want?
  19. R686 parts truck. Cab very rusty. Whole or parts. Good hood with hood scoop. No engine. Trans and rear have water damage. Lost storage. $800 OBO. Mike. Boyertown PA. More pictures available. Don't want to use up all the space.
  20. F700 parts truck for sale. Whole or parts. Can very rusty. Body never used but floor boards need replacing. Engine gone. Trans and rears probably have water damage. $800 OBO. Mike Lost storage. Other trucks in the background also available.
  21. Where's the AB? Can you post pictures if you are not going to buy it. Thanks. Mike
  22. Like these? Pyle National. Chicago.
  23. Bechtlesville? I'm from Boyertown. I thought I knew all the truck guys in the area. Mike.
