  1. Beautiful car. I hate to sell anything. I would have never been able to do it. You have to do what is best for you though. Mike
  2. Wow. It does look like a good deal. I sent him an email. Hopefully I can find out more. Is anyone close to go look at it? Mike
  3. Wow. Scary stuff. How about some pictures of the warehouse? What would he cost be? Maybe John Smagach would rent some room in his warehouse in North Philly. It is near the Penthouse Club. Mike
  4. Around here ( eastern PA ) I think the Amish use horses or tractors on steel and the Mennonites use whatever they want but I could wrong. I saw this on the way home from Mack Day. Mike . It looks like I was driving a U model but it was an R688.
  5. Beautiful trucks. Sorry to hear about the loss of yet another Mack fanatic. Mike
  6. Thanks. I've been waiting to see them. Mike
  7. You have to buy the H63! $800. You can't beat it.
  8. It would take a very special person to pay 23.5 for an FWD fire truck. I doubt that person is out there. Mike
  9. I missed an "I". I meant to type Unobtainium. Anyway you get the point. And yes, lots of new things are priced so that they are unreasonable to obtain like Red Wing boots made in the US.
  10. Welcome to the dark side. I saw your post on the Brockway site. You probably aren't welcome there anymore. There is a Brockway thread on here. No one will give you a hard time for posting pictures of your 148. Mike
  11. Looks like it had a fine home where it was. Why did you part with it?
  12. Made of Unobtainum. Now I want one.
  13. I was there two years ago. Dennis opened the doors and let me roam around. I do not remember an AC with the name Cristi on it. Most of the nice trucks have gone to Mahan's. Dennis said the saying around there is "anything with paint is gone". He does still have a few nice things. I spent a long time wondering around the two large boneyards. That was a lot of fun. I took a bunch of pictures. I will check for a Cristi truck. I thought I had posted some of them, but maybe not. Mike
  14. So what are your plans for the 758? Mike
  15. It looks great. Nice to see someone still does hand lettering.
  16. I'm in. Does anyone know how much it would take?
  17. That issue is from 2013!
  18. Nice 758. What are your plans for it? My father has one that is off getting painted like yours. It was white when he got it, but will be red with black fenders and radiator shell. Unfortunately you will have a hard time finding that white plastic grill insert. Mike
  19. It's between Pennsburg and Green Lane.
  20. I have to work until 3. It is only a few miles away so will stop by if I get out on time. Not coming. Across 78. All back roads for me. Mike
  21. I agree with FWD. The other option is getting them rebuilt. I send mine to White Post Restoration. They sleeve them and rebuild them. It is more expensive than new if you can find them but they have a life time guarantee. I don't know whose life time but hopefully not the former owner because he died a few years ago. White Post Restoration. One Old Car Drive PO Drawer D White Post, VA 22663 540-837-1140 You can download the form off their web site and mail them to them. www.whitepost.com I wouldn't use the postal service because they lost the wheel cylinders and master cylinder off my 405A. I had them insured for $800 but it took me a long time to find replacements to have rebuilt. Mike
  22. I sent you two without a response. Do you have pictures? Are there any problems with he motor besides being apart? Mike
  23. That is the way to do it. Nice work.
  24. Glad to hear it is sold. I pushed for his guy to buy it. If you edit the post you can switch the header to sold. Looks like a great truck. My father might be down to pick it up. Mike.
  25. A hood would be easy. A cab is possible. Fenders are impossible. A guy in State College PA parts of an FWD fire truck with an R model cab for sale for $900. The cab is supposed to be pretty nice. Wrong front end though. Let's see pictures of what you are working on. I have several Internationals. Mike.
