I tried to buy one of those a few years ago. They were made in New Jersey. They use a Model T as the starting point and later Model A. I will have to keep looking. Mike

Mack Day 2014 - Gerhart Equipment, Lititz

Count me in for a hoagie and a T shirt. Did you make any shirts that will fit Wes? It will be his first Mack Day. -
This one belongs to a guy from New Jersey. He has about 4 of them. One is really nice and was I display at the Boyertown Museum a few years ago. Mike

Unfortunately I am not holding out about the G733. It belongs to a friend of my mechanic's. He bought the B83 about 12 years ago. It looked great at that time. He got a GMC 660 4x4 wrecker at the same time. They have both gone down hill since then. Had I known this G model was still up there I would have tracked it down. I had a good time yesterday. I think they did too. They didn't even look at the non-Macks at my house. They are good company. Today they were heading to the gift shop at the Mack Plant then to Cohen Brothers salvage yard in Downingtown, PA. Then on to R. L. Jackson's salvage yard in Maryland. Mike

Being in the land of the Pennsylvania Dutch, Dutchmen are not particularly uncommon unless they are from Holland. Leon and Rene from the Netherlands came over for Trucktoberfest and Mack Day. Today they got a tour of John Haines' collection from Art Cooper then they met me at my mechanic's place where the H613 and B66 are getting worked on. This G733 was out front. This B83 has been posted on here before. It is at the same place. It was in way better shape when it arrived. Here is the B66. I couldn't find a better EN460 so this one is getting bored. We went to look at my junk next. You've seen enough pictures of them. Next we went to Baro's where my father works. They run an all Mack fleet. Haines and Kibblehouse have several divisions next to Baro's so we walked over there and checked them out. Lastly we went to a place where I have two R models and two F models. All are pretty much junk. . Mike

Old Time Trucks

Nope, not running yet. My mechanic has parts ordered for the fuel pump. He seems to think that is all it will need. He told me it would be ready for Mack Day. I don't believe him. I am meeting Leon and Rene from the Netherlands there tomorrow. I will let you know his progress. Mike -
Old Time Trucks

Thanks. Pictures always make trucks look better. The right fender is pretty banged up and the radiator shell. I could use a better radiator shell if anyone knows where there is one. It has a good bit of rust but no holes. Mike -
Mini milestone...

Good work. You won't even get that black mark on your shirt. When my father had his B66 with the concave cab running that was his motivation to not gain weight. He had to stay thin enough to fit behind the wheel. We'll see how he did when the mechanic gets done with it. Hopefully he still fits. Mike -
Original Mack fuel cap

Might as well hold onto it. You might find yourself needing one at some point -
It was a great day. Thanks Doug and the entire crew, for all your work. I saw a lot of members' trucks but did not get to talk to very many of them. Vlad, the yellow and black truck is an import. My father imported it from California. It is a 1977 RL712LST with a 300 plus and 13 speed. I thought he was crazy when he bought it. Mike

My father wasn't driving for Baro in the 90's. He was still working for Reinert where his Superliner came from. I see Levari's trucks all the time on 422. I love their green Macks. I saw some white one recently. Mike. -

I have heard of using lanolin from sheep too. Saw a 34 Ford panel truck covered with it and looked great but smelled like a sheep. Can you post pictures of your Chevy? I might try this on my H613. Thanks. Mike. -
I have been enjoying the distraction. I will have the truck at Trucktoberfest. Anyone is welcome to stop by my place and check out the junk. Just PM me and I will get you my number. Mike

I guess we'll see who ends up with it. Not a good person.

The parade photo is my truck with the previous owner, Andy Henderson, behind the wheel. Must have been several years ago because the kid on the back is a lot bigger now. Andy said two of the Chicago Magirus' were left outside in Minnesota and went to nothing. Do you have any pictures of them. Mike.

Yes the truck is a monster. It takes up the place of two trucks. I haven't had the ladder up yet because he outriggers are stuck and I don't want it to fall over. I hope to have it at Tructoberfest and Mack Day. It doesn't have any brake lights or turn signals. I have to get my father to fix that before I take it that far. Mike
