  1. Congrats. Even though I will sound like Vinny, what is the serial number? Mike
  2. The length laws on the east coast kept engines small but in the Wild West where there were no length laws big horse power was king. Bigger engines were needed to pull longer trailers, doubles or triples. The big hoods covered the big engines. The big radiators did the cooling. That is why the superliner was developed. A bigger hood to cover a bigger radiator to cool a bigger engine. I see more superliners in the road now in PA then I did when they were in production. I think they are being shipped in from the west coast. That is what I was told anyway. Mike
  3. That is Wayne King's truck. It is in very nice condition. I'm sure he put way more than $65,000 in it. He is from Owen Sound Ontario. His brother has the big green and orange Autocar that comes to Macungie every year. I have some pictures of it from years ago at Mack Day, but they are prints. Mike
  4. So where is this 527 in my area?
  5. Welcome to the forum. I have a '60 DC75 but yours looks a lot nicer than mine. Mike
  6. That is pretty neat and cheap enough. Who's going to buy it?
  7. Do any of the a EN 540 gas job?
  8. Did you get the serial number? (Sorry Vinny. I had to)
  9. Yes. I bought it last year at Macungie. I had a weak moment. It came from Tom Zacny's estate. I like the truck. It is just too long. I don't have room for it and I hate for it to sit out. I haven't driven it, but it was driven from Philly to Macungie then my house. Mike
  10. This one is at Yaworski's in Connecticut. I have the serial number written down somewhere. I thought it was a B30B, but maybe not. I saw an E model bus in a junkyard in Mertztown Pa in the mid 90's. Didn't take a picture though and doubt it is still there. Mike
  11. It's a fixed flat bed. Not even a hoist under it.
  12. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/gallery/image/9985-raystown-mack-f-models-045/ Here is a link to some pictures on my gallery if anyone is wondering. This subject has been brought up several times before. The North Penn day cabs are not there. They are mine. Mike
  13. Great work. You just convince me to pay someone to polish the wheels on my R model. You definitely need to keep it inside next winter. Mike
  14. 1964 White 4264. Gas 6 cylinder flat head. 5 speed. Tandem axle. Steel flatbed with winch. Air brakes. Needs a motor mount. Power nothing. Runs good after replacing plugs, wires and coil. Original paint. $5000 OBO Mike.
  15. It's an F model. The headlights make it look like an IH Emeryville. Looks pretty good. The serial number plate should be o. The driver's door. If you post that someone will tell you what engine it had originally. Good luck. Mike.
  16. I didn't talk to the owner. I didn't go to the VFW. The guy I spoke to said he thought Ed would rather cut stuff up than sell it. I don't know if that is true or not. There is a pretty nice DM600 with a green dash and a hard nose. The cab is really solid. The picture I took was terrible though. The cruiseliner would have some good parts. I did not look at the nose on the B61. The floor is gone though. What do you need. My father has several front ends sitting around. Mike
  17. Yep the directions worked pretty good. I knew it was a diamond T as soon as I typed it. Saw this too.
  18. Yep. I was told if I wanted to find him I need to go to the VFW in Slatington. The light blue trucks are from Alpo. . Mike
  19. I found the place. Everything down by the turnpike was cut up except this Diamond Reo.. Several interesting trucks up the hill though. It is hard to find off of Schoolhouse Rd. Mike
  20. Brocky, Thanks for the info. I'm going to try it tomorrow. Mike D, If you get to talk to anyone see if they will sell parts or whole trucks. I would really like some parts off the Autocar. There is a very short dump trailer there that would be worth saving, maybe 20 feet long. And I could get that air filter for Maddog. Mike
  21. That's the place. My father was by last week and said they were cleaning up the brush like they were getting ready to clean up the trucks. We were in there years ago and there were a hundred or more trucks. When I was in 4 years ago there were about twenty. I need to dig up the old pictures because there was some good stuff. Mike
  22. Do you have a picture of the seat? I need one for my MH if it is the right thing. Could you bring it to Macungie? Mike
  23. That black and white looks very similar to the one above. I thought I could get FWD to check this place out but I guess he has other things on his mind. Hopefully I can save some stuff. Mike
  24. Yahoo. Way to go. Glad everyone is healthy now. Those little parasites can be hard on the host. Mike.
  25. I had been wanting to go in this junk yard along the PA Turnpike Northeast extension for a long time. I stopped a few years ago in the snow on my way to Toronto. There were not a ton of trucks, but there were some neat things. Only parts of two Macks: a B model and an A model with a Mono-shift. Two Autocars, a DC75 that I would love the bumper and grill guard off of and a four-door utility truck. Several Internationals, Chevys and Whites. My father was by the other day and said they are cleaning it up. If any of you Lehigh Valley guys can get up there and find out what is happening I would appreciate it. I really would like the DC75 as a parts truck. It might have been cut up already. I will be in Easton on Sunday and might stop by in the afternoon, but don't know how to get there other than jumping the fence along the Turnpike. Mike
