  1. I hate to see anything get scrapped. It is too far from me. You should post it on the Brockway web site. Most of those guys are in New York but maybe someone will ant it. Good Luck. Mike
  2. Jesse Baro Inc. My father has worked for them for about 15 years now.
  3. Looks like an impressionist painting to me. Or maybe I need new glasses.
  4. Nice. I found pictures here http://rescue37.com/apparatus/retired-apparatus/. Maybe I'll call them and see what they know. Mike
  5. You can call it in too. Rose will answer the phone.
  6. I had a good day. I drove my GMC/E-One just for fun. I considered not going but I had committed to a Mack extinguisher from Paul. So I got that and he gave me a great deal on a B model bell and bracket. I had a good time talking to Paul, his wife and his buddy. I bought a portable pump to fill up a compartment on a truck, a chain saw to use around the house, two PA300's and speakers and some 3" hard suction. The best deal was a box of Mack manuals. B and CF for $50. I only saw Yardo briefly and I missed the nunnery. I would have liked to catch up with more of you. It will have to wait till Macungie. Only two months away. Mike
  7. Paul. I would like to buy the Mack extinguisher if it is not spoken for. I'll be there on Sunday. Mike
  8. They were for sale for a while. I wish I would have bought them. They look like two nice trucks. Mike
  9. I called ATHS and talked to the director before the auction. He said the decision was made several years previous to sell all the vehicles. They had already sold a bunch. I told him It was stupid to have that big building and not have any trucks in it. People expect to see trucks. He gave the answer that they can't keep everything that is donated and the donor got a tax write off which is what they were looking for. He said they pix to have it in the museum. I mentioned preserving history and there was not a truck with more history than that one. I suspect they got a lot of calls like mine before they made the decision. There was a huge uproar on the ATHS forum which led to a lot more lost members and hurt feelings. There was an effort to overthrow the board. I overheard Stormy Wilde talking about it after the election at that convention that most members were never on the forum and did not know anything about it . I stopped and visited Dennis Yaworsky 18 months ago. That truck as not the reason he doesn't take as many trucks to shows. But that is another story. Mike
  10. Happy belated birthday. That is great birthday present.
  11. The serial number on the L model is 85LS1341. Where was it before Barto? The Seagrave was from Spring City. I don't know where it went but was told it went to a collector. It definitely suffered from being outside. I hope I am not steeling the thread. Mike.
  12. I'll be there. I might even drive a fire truck. Only if it doesn't rain. I'd be up for supporting some nuns in training. Is it tax deductible ? Yarnall.
  13. It could be bought if anyone is interested. The doors are rough. There used to be an old Seagrave next to it that he sold. He has three other fire trucks inside.
  14. That looks great. This truck sits out near me. It still has the antique tag on but no roof over it. You see how important it is. You need a building. One of those car ports is not good enough. That is what I had at first. It ruined he paint on the truck I kept in there. Mike Hard to read unless it is enlarged, but it is also from Barto.
  15. Good work on finding the C model. I hope it works out. My CF719 had a 2 speed spicer in when it was new. They considered scrapping the truck because the the spicer gave them so much trouble. They finally replaced it with an Allison. Let see some pictures. Mike
  16. I don't get that. I'll have to see if they sell it anywhere. Thanks, Mike
  17. Nice truck. Is that your pole barn in the background? Let's see some pictures of the inside. Mike
  18. I agree with no matter how big you make it, it will not be big enough. We had a 60x100 building put up. She that filled up we put up a 48x50 addition. Now that is full and we have more outside.
  19. The link Brocky posted above is very good and like j hancock said, what I have or what I would like to have. People do work in all kinds of situations. Part of it really depends on what you can do and want to do. The minimum stuff is prabably obvious, a couple good bottle jacks or good floor jacks, jack stands, parts washer, big air compressor, torch, big hammers and duct tape. Ok I started joking. There are many people far better qualified to answer this question than me. I would never buy a lathe or some of the fancy machines that some people have because I don't know how to use them and probably would not use them if I knew how. I would like to learn to weld, but still don't have the time. Good luck. Mike
  20. The truck above belongs to Robert King of Ontario. His brother, Wayne, has a B85 tillered arial. I found this behind a garage down the road. I think it is a C50. Mike
  21. 719.883!!! Holy Smokes!!!! What kind of mileage should it get?
  22. This is another V8. The guy who bought it was feature in Bulldog Magazine a year or two ago. I tried to buy it but couldn't afford it. They said they got $28,000 for it. Mike
  23. It turns out Internationals were not made to get wet.
  24. Nice guy but I got the feeling he thought I was crazy. Maybe because I was there picking up this.
  25. Here is a V8 powered Superliner that was getting loaded down the road from my house. From what I gathered he is a farmer from Lancaster County who does some trucking on the side. This truck really sounded good. Mike
