Mack 405 A 1034 -
Lots of cool other trucks. I will put them in my gallery. The truck went to Scrap Metal Management. West Newbury Mass. 978 702 7055. I left a message today to see if it was cut up yet. Mike

Don't know when I would get up there next. He took a deck gun off the truck that I would like, but it would not fit in the car. Mike

Here is what I got. I was literally unscrewing things as they pulled the truck on the trailer and chained it down. I made them take the ladders and pike poles off before it left. I might buy them, but have to go back to MASS to get them, a 7 hour drive. I tried to get the Mack branded spot lights off of it, but it was leaving. I also wanted the mirrors and bracket, but not enough time. I should have made an offer for the entire truck, but it did not occur to me until the next day. I might still call the scrap yard and see if it has been cut up. The truck was complete. I really made me sad. He said this is the next truck to got to scrap. . He would not put a price on it. I am going to push him on it to make sure it does not get cut up. The truck is not in nearly as good of shape as the C125, but is ok. It is a B95FD Diesel. Next on the scrap list is this off brand. He is asking 12,500. It is a beautiful, complete truck, but who wants it. Not me. He said he will pull the engine, trans and tires and scrap the rest. He is a very nice guy, but he is a business man. He does have a 95LS. I would not let me load the picture. Mike

I was up at Aran Trading in Mass on Friday and David said he was scrapping some fire trucks. As a matter of fact one was leaving right now. C125F 1054. Really complete truck with no rust, just faded paint. Even had hoses and ladders. I bought some parts off of it before they drove off with it. I don't know why I didn't ask what it would take to buy it. I don't need it and it is far away. Maybe someone can get some good parts off of it if I hasn't been cut up yet. I couln't sleep that night. Mike

I bought this at an auction at the steel plant down the street. I remember it going by the house daily when I was a kid. -

Just brought home a Superliner

Great find. How do you think it would do on a drive to Pennsylvania? Mike -
The big green Autocar in the shed is an old Gerossa truck. Mike

I don't know which Mike you are talking about, but you got my attention. That one B is really an H. I wonder if it is also $1700. Gettysburg is about 2 hours away. I wouldn't have time to go look at them for 3 weeks. Is anyone else going? Mike -
How about a number for this guy? Mike

Thanks for posting the pictures. A chain drive Sterling is on my wish list. Mike

Mack Days 2013 at Gerhart's- October 4th and 5th

That R model is just a front end. It was never used. It was sold a Macungie by bid a few years ago. Roger bought it and the proceeds went to a church. I forget the exact story why it wasn't used. It was covered in dust when it was at Macungie. I have pictures somewhere, but can't find them. It should be there this weekend. Mike- 203 replies

I wish it was closer. I have a B42SX with a burnt up motor I would love to put it in. It has a triplex so I would not need the quad box. I just sold a quad box anyway. Mike

Cal Little in Hummelstown, PA has them. If you have all the pieces someone can fix it. Mike -
This truck is cheap enough. Worth more in scrap. I'd buy it if it was closer. Mike http://www.ebay.com/itm/PARTS-ONLY-1990-MACK-TRUCK-WITH-AIRFLO-AF2000-SPREADER-PICK-UP-ONLY-/390668035794?pt=Salvage_Parts_Cars&hash=item5af5a126d2&vxp=mtr#ht_1591wt_1161

Looks like a nice truck. Where was it last? Maybe someone on here knows the owner or is closer to go knock on the door. What is the serial number. Mine is 85LS1101 Mike

Nice truck. Good job saving it from the scrapper. Why no cab protector? Contact mhE9 on here. He has hauled trucks for several members. Mike

My day at mack power day
yarnall replied to mack mhe9's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
That's the one. I was just giving you a hard time. I was at Friends of Autocar. There were 16 Autocars and 2 Macks there. '39 Baby Mack showed up with his ED and was harassed by the Autocar guys. The other was a really nice R model that did the work of bringing in two restored Autocars. Mike -

I bought a copy of that add from ebay a couple months back. That Brockway might be the one that is at Yaworski's in Connecticut rotting away. There are pictures posted somewhere on here. Mike -

Why no picture of the green superliner? Just a fender. -
Looks like you are in Austrialia with the kangaroo pushers. What are you afraid of hitting? Mike

Does the truck have independent front suspension? I have a '61 C80 that does and needs king pins. I was told there was only one set in existence. They were in CA and the price was $1000. I passed. They are not that bad. Mike

I think the small chrome bumper was an option. My '47 85 LS has the large steel bumper. On the build sheet it initially specifies a chrome bumper, put that is x'ed out and a steel bumper with chrome strips is listed. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/gallery/image/10999-macungie-2012/. I found the picture of the LTL in Glendale. It is a semi-open cab and it is red. I will have to scan it and post it. Mike

Is any one coming to Friends of Autocar tomorrow in West Chester, PA. I'll be there with my C90 and DC75. Mike
