  1. Welcome to the forum. Nice truck. Glad to hear it will get some love. There is a restored LTL fire truck behind glass at the Glendale, CA fire house. I have pictures somewhere. It is red and I think it is a coupe(day) cab. Mike
  2. I saw a running, complete B61 with some rust through sell for $8000 at an auction. I couldn't believe it. I thought it was worth $3-5000. I'd say $3000 for this one. $5000 if he gets lucky. Mike
  3. Did the Huskie guys give you too much trouble for letting a Bulldog in your kennel?
  4. Welcome to the forum. Looks like you have a goods start, but also a long way to go. Post a list of what you need in the wanted category. Somebody should be able to help you. Mike
  5. What do you guys think of this? This guy buys the scope off here a few weeks ago for a song now says he is forced to scap it. Great guy. Shame for the trucks though. Mike
  6. Great pictures. I will take the two GMCs in the first bunch of pictures and the Autocar with the sleeper. If you can spot me the money I promise I am good for it. Keep the pictures coming. Mike
  7. Congratulations. I am jealous. Another truck on my wish list. Will you bring it to Mack Day? Mike
  8. It is a lucky dog, or you are. Looks like its time for an addition on the pole barn. Mike
  9. The F models have not moved in a long time. The Indiana is less than a mile east on the far side of a cinder block building. I first saw that truck in 1991. It has not gotten better with age. Here is a thread about it. Mike http://forums.justoldtrucks.com/Topic32145.aspx
  10. Here are pictures I took of them 2 years ago. The former North Penn day cabs are at a different location. You can see that the Paccar is a KW. I talked to the guy at the shop across the street. They are not affiliated with the F models. He said the guy who owns them will not sell. Did you see the Indiana down the road? 11. If it was cheap enough I would still buy it. The little lady really wants a wood fired pizza oven and I don't want to build one. What better way to get one than buy a fire truck with one on? I have a long list of things I wish I had bought. One CF had a welder mounted on it in place of a pump. Another was cut up. I saw a 1953 GMC that I could have bought for $800 at Macungie without the fire body for sale for $1500 or so. Can't buy them all.
  12. He should have gotten at lot for that aluminum cab. I hope he saved the 5 hole buds. Mike
  13. Neat truck even though its a Ford. Trying to save my money though. Hope someone takes care of it. Is it yours? Mike
  14. Indiana is a little out of the way, but thanks for the offer.
  15. I can't afford another building. Not sure if I can afford another truck.
  16. My building is 60 x 140 and it is stuffed. I would like an aerial though. Mike
  17. Beautiful truck. How long has it been sitting out? Is the gold leaf paint or tape? How does the aerial work? Do you have the serial number? I assume it is a 237. Is that the case? I don't have any room to put it inside. Mike
  18. So if it is a newer cab do you think the milage is correct? And what happened to the hood. It is cheap enough no matter what. We definitely have the numbers out here, but the conditions are better out west. The trucks are not all rusted up. Mike
  19. The guy had been warned several times before getting the letter. The Manungie truck show has been in the same location for the past 30 years and we would like to be invited back. It is in a residental area and surrounds the community pool. It is not just people at the truck show who can hear it. Yes, it is a truck SHOW. It is not a loudest truck competition. Trucks make a lot of noise to start with and then to make noise for the sake of making it is out of line. I am all for making noise at certain times. I love winding out my unmuffled Cummins in my Autocar DC75 or the 671 in my Autocar/Hahn when I am on the highway. They had a loudest truck and loudest air horn competition at Trucktober Fest last year. It was held on private property in an industrial area, not the middle of a community park. I go to a fire truck show in Harrisburg which has a parade from the Farm Show Complex to the River. Every year it is lights, sirens and horns the whole way. This year as we turned onto Front Street there were signs stating "NO SIRENS OR HORNS". I asked the show chairman if there had been a problem. He said "no, but we are in a hospital zone and we want to be invited back". A little common sense and self policing can go a long way. Mike
  20. A few years ago a guy was sent a letter from ATCA to never come back to Macungie because he made so much noise with his V12 Detroit. I was told that story this year at Macungie by the guy who sent the letter while you were making a lot of noise with your Detriot. Not everyone appreciates it. Mike
  21. It looks great. Thanks for the pictures. When can I pick it up?
  22. I'll be there with a Mack or two. My second favorite day of the year behind Macungie. Mike
  23. Very glad to hear that Ernie, Jr is doing well. He will remain in our prayers. Mike
  24. Definitely stick with the 5 holes that you have. The truck looks awesome. Do they make tube type radial tires? Mike
  25. Not all B67's had contour cabs. It was an option. The hard nose was also an option. A long hood, however, was not an option. Definitely didn't go along with the goal of a short BBC. Mike
