  1. From the album: Other Makes

1991 GMC Syclone on ice since 2000.
  2. On Saturday we hooked an old Autocar to an old Fruehauf trailer to get the contents out. The contents was a 1991 GMC Syclone that my bother bought new. For reasons I don't remember, probably lack of storage, he decided to put it in this old reefer. That was in 2000. It had 8865 miles on it. Well we needed to move the trailer so we had to get the pick-up out. It needed a new fuel pump, but otherwise seems to have weathered the nap quite well. It seemed so neat back then. Now it looks dated. I'll try to post more pictures. Mike
  3. That is a great plan. Tell him to call me when he gets sick of it. Mike
  4. Rich Muys. Good guy. He is into V8 Macks. He bought the CF719 off oldmacktrucks.com. It is serial number 9 out of 14 made. It has a twin turbo 864 in it. He also has a CF795 or something like that with an 865 or 866 in it. He plans on using the motors in other projects eventually. Mike
  5. It goes 50 mph, not problem. This time when I see the maroon pickup go by at 80 I'll know who it is. Mike
  6. I'll be there with my 1979 GMC/E-One. It is yellow and hard to miss. Mike
  7. Maybe she won't notice a couple extra Autocars.
  8. 2 hour 37 minute drive according to mapquest. That will have to wait until after the SPAAMFAA muster. I'll call first to make sure they will let me roam around. Looks like fun. Mike
  9. That place looks great. I'm only a couple of hours from Hagerstown. I wonder if they allow picture takers. Maybe I'll make the trip in a couple weeks. Mike
  10. I was told they were going to make a wrecker out of it and lost interest. It sat in a garage along a stone wall for a long time rusting. I had bought a B85 for parts and when I changed the title I asked the garage foreman who signed the title if they had any other macks around. He told me about that one. The chief had forgotten about it. The chief took me to see it and when we entered the garage he pointed to a Hamerly and told me I should buy that too so I did. The guys who are restoring it found out I bought the Mack and tried to buy it. I don't remember how, but they made me made and I didn't call them back for a while. When I did they had bought the ladder out of the junk yard and had bought the Lowell tractor that I am trying to sell. I traded them my tractor for their tractor. They got the better truck because it was more complete, less rusty and had a title, but I knew they were going to work on it. I haven't done anything with the Lowell tractor. I will have the AC and something else at Cherry Hill, but have not decided what. Mike
  11. I'm the collector who owned that B85 breifly. If anyone wants a truck like it, I have one for sale and one not for sale. The MB from Pottstown was bought and donated to Pottstown Parks and Rec and is used to water trees. They tried to sell it to me, but I turned them down. Here are two Pennsylvania Macks from my gallery, the first from Steelton and the second from Haririsburg:http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/gallery/album/1041-my-macks/. And here are two more. Both originally served Boyertown and were sold separately to Summit Station. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/gallery/image/10999-macungie-2012/. A 1951 405A and a 1947 LS85. Mike
  12. Coker Tire is a good source. I bought 8.25X20's from them for a 1955 Chevy 4100. I don't know what they have for big trucks, but it is worth a looks. Cost about $1000 for 6 tires, tubes, flatps and shipping, but I couldn't drive the truck without them. Mikd
  13. Vinny you didn't ask for a serial number yet.
  14. That is a really neat old truck. Definitely something I would be proud to own. Congratulations. Tubeless is a good idea. I don't know why they would recommend low-pros though. I'd keep the gasser in it. Mike
  15. That B model used to sit out in Leesport. I wondered where it got to. I guess I'll have to get out to New Alexandria some time to see their junk yard. It looks like fun. Mike
  16. There were 4 superliners lined up in the loading area at Macungie so I got my father to back his in there so I could take some pictures. The two black ones and the red one are working trucks. I don't know about the yellow one. The green one is all original and has been retired since 1995 Mike
  17. That B model is in good company, a Jag and Vette.
  18. I posted a picture in my gallery of what the truck looked like when I bought it and a picture of when it was a working truck. The Lanova had to be put back together and then the front end put back on the truck. The fuel tank was cut open to fix holes, but I made sure they knew not to damage the exterior paint. They could do whatever they needed to on the underside, but not the exterior. 19. Can you post pictures? You will have a better chance of selling it. Too far away for me. Mike
  20. I looked at all 13 pages. They are great. Where is the junk yard with all the B models in it? Where is the yellow B model in the garage with the lawn mower in front of it? Mike
  21. Thanks for all the compliments. It was a long, frustrating wait. It was more frustrating for my mechanic. He spent a lot of time at the Mack Museum looking through records to get it back together. He is very proud of the truck. I was glad it did not rain while the truck was out because I did not want to wash the dirt off. I like the "barn find" look even though it is not really a barn find. I guess I will wash and wax it a some point, but not yet. Several people told me they had the chance to buy the truck before I did, but they passed it up because they were scared by the engine being apart. I would have passed on it too if I knew how much trouble it would be and how much it would cost. Like I said above, I have had several offers to buy it. It woudl take a lot of green to separate me from this truck. The video above is great. Well worth watching from the beginning. Thanks for posting it. Mike
  22. Welcome to the forum. Sorry I cannot help with your questions. I have been told the rotary pumps can be a problem. Does it have a V8 in it? Hopefully someone will be able to help. A friend will be visiting from Belgium this weekend. He lives in Halen. Mike
