  1. I brought 2 more Macks home yesterday. They both belonged to the company my father worked for. The company closed it's doors about 12 years ago and these two trucks sat in the shop since 2003. My father used to drive the CH. It is a 1990 with a mechanical 250 and a 5 speed. The R model is a 1989 R688ST with a 350 and a 9 speed. These are from the same company my father's Superliner is from. My father also has a 1991 CH612 from the same company. The lettering has been removed from that one though. When They are 25 years old we will start bringing them to shows. 2. From the album: My Macks

Brought these two trucks home yesterday.
  3. This auction has ended. Can't tell if it sold or time just ran out. Maybe I'll call Wayne to find out. Mike
  4. Saw this B model on Ebay. It was down to Mack Day when they had the fire truck show several years back. He has put a lot of work into this truck. You couldn't do one for that price. 5. I wouldn't mind having #505, the Autocar next to the Diamond Reo. I am pretty sure those Windsor Service AC's were actually used by Windsor Service back in the day. They were restored by Art Cooper before Windsor Service was bought by H and K and went along with the company. Mike
  6. Great pictures. I have never been to Beiler's, but have been to Zettlemoyer's. I should have bought a TD6 there, but stopped putting my hand up. Mike
  7. This is my father's truck. 1988 RW613.
  8. Might as well buy it. I have several of those steel bumpers in good shape. They are in PA though. Daryl Emery has several grills and lots of other sheet metal parts. Sometimes karma is a good thing. Mike
  9. Most of these high paid executives are republicans. They are afraid of the democrats because they would have to pay higher taxes which would go toward terrible things like early childhood education and school lunch programs.
  10. Yes. That is what I usually do. I have (4) 12s in my CF right now. I don't know if it has a 24 volt starter on it though. I usually start my firetrucks on both batteries. My Hahn will start with one good 12 volt battery though. That is if you are really cheap. Mike
  11. This truck and a similar one were for sale in Wheels of Time and the aths web site last year. The pictures looked good and the price seemed right but they still took a long time to sell. I would like to get one like it because my father drove a 1969 A7564 when I was a kid. I actually would like that truck back. It went to Ohio in the 80's, never to be seen again. Mike
  12. If the truck runs and the floor isn't rotted out it could be worth that. It is very hard to tell with out seeing it in person. That is quite a heavy tail on that tractor. I guess it is for one of those lowboys that you have to winch on. Mike

  14. Good work Vinny. How about this one on ebay. Mike http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mack-Fire-truck-Fire-engine-Antique-/251230294217?pt=Commercial_Trucks&hash=item3a7e7e10c9
  15. Stopped by napa today and had them look up the fuel pump we use. The part number is P4070. Mike
  16. I called him tonight. Told him I wasn't interested in buying it, but wanted to talk about it. After about 10 minutes he said it was being exported...to Canada. He didn't say exported. He said he bought it about 20 years ago and had to send the Horseshoe back after he got it. I didn't know that they had horseshoes on the H models. He said the Smith's were real nice guys to deal with. I asked him what he was smoking. Ok, I didn't say that. Anyway, he has a bunch of Macks that he would sell, H63, F model, B model. None of them sound great, but maybe something to start with or get parts off of. He is working on a B model for himself. Mike
  17. Gilbertsville had 3 U model's at one time, two tractors and a tanker. The tanker had originally been a tractor. I am told the one pictured ended up at Grandview, a local dirt track, as the track waterer. I have never gone to look for it. The other tractor was sold a couple of years ago. They told me $8000. I put a lowball offer of $4500 for the tractor and aluminum tandem axle tank trailer. I don't know where it ended up, but I think I have pictures of it and the tanker. I was given Gilbersville's R190 International that pulled a tanker before the U models. It went to a concrete plant and now doesn't have a straight piece of metal on it. As for PA Mack fire trucks, I have several. You should stop by and see them since you are near by. You can see some pictures in my gallery. I am having computer problems and am unable to post pictures right now. Mike
  18. You grew up in Wind Gap? Are you familiar with Amerman Lumber? It is a friend's family business. It is on the same road as Beers. They have a B20 or B30 rusting away. I bought parts of a Brockway 761 and an Oliver HG 68 from them. Mike
  19. This AB was bought as an antique. It sat in their office for years. I tried to buy it, but they didn't like my offer. It went to auction and they ended up getting a few hundred less out of it than my offer after the commission. That was not Ronnie's fault though. The guy who bought it put new tires on the front, fixed the radiator and got it running then drove it to Macungie. It is about a 20 miles. He had a $35,000 price tag on it. Firm. It did not sell. He was the auctioneer at the auction where I bought my AC and he had that in the sale. It didn't bring as much as he wanted so he did not sell it. After I bought the AC a friend, Keith Ernst, who did not bid against me, bought it. He has a great collection of Pennsylvania built trucks, Internationals and Model A Fords. He has some really neat and rare stuff and this was a great addition. I might try to buy it some day, but doubt he will sell it. Mike
  20. If your giving th MB a free ride I just might have to buy it. Mike
  21. Sorry for.the slow response. The trailer is most likely sold. Mike
  22. If you do take out the ENDT673 I might want to buy it. My H613 doesn't have a turbo anymore and I would like it to. I have no answer for your questions though. Thanks, Mike
  23. You can't fool me. They aren't Macks. My father was by your place the other day. Nice stuff. Mike.
