  1. Who rebuilt the carb? I had trouble with mine. Replaced fuel pumps and filters them finally had the carb properly cleaned and rebuilt. It runs great since. Now if I could get it to stop better.
  2. The contour cab was an option. On several models, including the B67. Most people don’t want the contour cab because of the decreased room in the cab. It would decrease the uniqueness of the truck to put a flat back cab on but not the value. Have fun with it. Mike
  3. I don’t have spec sheet for the B421 but I saw one and it looked the same as the B42. I’ll have to get one so I can compare them side by side. Yoos’ has been repowered which complicates things. Mike
  4. It depends which cf700. The CF719 has the 864 V8 with twin turbo. The CF795 has the 865 and the CF797 had the 866. While the only made 14, 86 and 12 respectively, there were thousands and thousands of other trucks made with these engines. There are 864 parts around but they are hard to come by. The 865 and 866 parts have gotten very expensive.
  5. The 422 has an overhead valve rather the the flat head in the 42. I haven’t been able to figure out the 421.
  6. Maybe now is the right time to sell some trucks.
  7. I just saw and air cleaner listed in Scrap Macks in Facebook. No price.
  8. Welcome to the forum. I live in Douglassville and have a B70 has job and a B62 that was converted to diesel. Are you a member of ATCA? They are the club that puts in the show in Macungie. If you aren’t, you should join. I hope to meet you at Macungie. Or look me up sooner Mike
  9. I’ve bought valves off eBay of all places. It’s worth a look.
  10. That great. I’m glad it being saved. Have fun with it Dan. Mike
  11. You and everyone else. I wish the reproduced them but no one does. Good luck in the hunt.
  12. That is quite a truck. Where are you building MTB trails? Mountain biking is my other hobby. Mike
  13. That’s great. Congratulations. What state?
  14. I think that truck in Mass was advertised on here for a while. It wasn’t very expensive. Maybe $8000.
  15. My father said they are reverting back to Yellow but I have not seen that in print.
  16. You can check the headlights. I’d guess 6V.
  17. I saw one 2 days ago in a barn in PA. Where are you?
  18. The RWS766 has a 400 in it.
  19. I found some LJ fenders today in Pa. No box for the air cleaner though. I can put you in touch with the owner if you are interested.
  20. Sounds like pretty good news. Happy thanksgiving.
  21. They are firetruck specific L model fenders after 1950. Not a whole lot of people looking for them, but if you need them there they are.
  22. It’s looking great. Thanks for the update.
  23. I believe that none of the gas jobs had functional shutters, but I am not certain.
  24. I’m not trying to rub salt in your wounds. How much will you have to take the truck apart to get the engine out and how will you avoid messing up the paint? I’m no mechanic. I’m sorry for you loss. Thoughts and prayers and all the other dumb stuff that people say. I know you can fix it though. Mike.
