  1. Welcome to the forum. Nice to see that Macks are appreciated to our south. As was said, try Watts for parts. Mike
  2. That green Autocar next to the big yellow ones is the truck I posted at auction a couple weeks ago. The truck looked really nice. I'd like to know what he paid for it. Thanks for posting the pictures of my line-up. Sorry about the B70. I feel a little bad about it, but am really happy that I have it. Mike
  3. My father, my brother and I and a couple helpers. I went really well this year except for the 85 LS. Somehow it filled the crankcase with gasoline. We had to haul it home.
  4. Macks: 1988 RW 613, 1955 B85F, 1925 ACCD, 1951 405A, 1947 85LS
  5. Thanks. I did not buy the lj. I was just pointing it out as one of Tom's trucks. Mike
  6. Great little truck. I have a B46T with a flat back cab. It is pretty rough though. You can see it in my gallery. My father and I bought it out of a scrap yard to keep it from becoming Hondas. Can you post some pictures of the interior? How bad is the rust on the floor and the back of the cab? Thanks, Mike
  7. The show was great. I am finally starting to recover. A very big Thank You to Doug, Daryll, Terry and your families and everyone else who put in so much work to make this year the best Macungie Truck Show ever. The weather helped too. It was great meeting those of you that I met and great to see old friends. We still don't have everything back in the pole barn yet. I had a 5" concrete floor put in the addition to my pole barn last monday and had to keep stuff out of there for a week. I did not want to load it up right away at the one week mark. Also my fathers MH sank part way into my septic tank so I had to dig that up. Oh and I bought a B70 at the show. Sorry Ben. I had wanted that truck for a long time. The first time I saw it was at Macungie in 2003, just after Tom Zacny bought it. It sad outside in a field for several years until his buddy Mark cut down the trees and polished up. Mark kept it in a car port at his house until I got it. When Tom died last year the truck was given to Tom's niece. That is who had it for sale at Macungie. The guy who was refered to as the owner was Mark. Mark's brother, Brian?, got the Orange and Black Glascow wrecker from Tom's collection after Tom died. I don't know if Mark got a truck or not, but he still has several of Tom's trucks sitting at his house. Tom had about 75 trucks. Mostly B model Macks. The big LJ Mack on the trail with the Brockway tow truck was also from Tom's collection. The truck was sold to me because I was friends with Tom and they thought he would be happy if I had it. I think this was a way to figure out a selling price since they did not accept my offer earlier in the year. Mark and Brian were nice enough to drop it off at my house on their way home. As for the Superliners with V8's in them, I heard kept having touble with them when they first came out. They had to get the front ends repair because they kept running into the backends of other trucks going up hills. Mike
  8. There is an mb on the for sale board at Macungie. I hope you'll be there today and bring your company's mb. The truck is in Vermont. Mike
  9. Thanks for all your hard work Doug. I'll see you in the morning on our first trip. Mike
  10. I'd love to have that H model. If it was in Pa I'd be bidding on it. Mike
  11. I called about the B773. 335 Cummins quad box. Current owner has it a year and has not had it running. Asking $15,000. That's out of my price range. Mike
  12. There is a huge truck flea market including old and new truck parts, models, signs, petroliana, literature. It is probably the biggest old truck flea market in the country. Watt's will be there. Mack Trucks sometimes is there selling stuff. There will be plenty to see at 8 am. I think flag raising is at 10. You can check the link. Mike
  13. I've wondered the same thing. The bad thing is the officer can do whatever he wants once he has you stopped. Best to not give him any reason to pull you over, like not having flaps. I am sure there are plenty of things they could find on my trucks once they start looking. I drove to Indian in a truck without a working speedometer or tach. I pulled a trailer to Syracuse without a CDL. Noone stopped me though. Mike
  14. We are all at least a little crazy. Shame about the emblems. Keep saving them. Mike
  15. How about some serial numbers? Thanks for posting the pictures. Mike
  16. If you are going to get antique tags try JC Taylor unless you want to pull a trailer. Then call Gulfway. If you are going to use it commercially at all you will need commercial insurance. Hope to see you at Mack Day in Lititz on October 6. Mike
  17. I was thinking about calling and asking. I'd like to know too. If they tell me I will post it. I would have loved The MD TA or M TA or a TD. Lots of neat stuff on the list. Mike
  18. They sure are goofy looking. Just like the U models. Roger Gerhart has one that he breaks out every year for Mack Day. It is great to watch and listen too. I do not know any details. Mike
  19. The yellow pickup on the right is mine too. Not a Mack, but at least it has a bulldog on the hood. The AC on the left is also mine. Well mine and the banks. I ran it out of fuel on Thursday and it hasn't run right since. I have to take the carb apart again. Thanks. I met a lot of really nice people and saw a lot of really nice trucks. It was great to see trucks in person that I have only seen in pictures and to meet their owners. We are so lucky to get to do it again next week at Macungie. Mike
  20. Nice truck. You can send your hydrovac to White Post Restoration in Virginia. Mine cost $500 about 4 years ago. I thought that was a little steep but the brakes work great. I had everything redone: master cyl, wheel cyl and hydrovac. Probably $1800 total. I didn't do the hydrovac on my L model and those.brakes don't work as well. I should have it done but I have been too cheap. Mike
