  1. How about tire life? They say tires have a finite life. I have heard 3-5 years. The rag tires on the back of my AC were put on in 1936. They are goodyear balloon tires. I forget the size, but something goofy like13.5x22. I have only driven it a total of 9 miles in three different trips. Max speed about 25. I have other trucks with 25 year old tires. Should they all be replaced if I am going to drive the trucks. Mike
  2. Here is the last picture of it. Now I'm headed to bed. I hear there is a U model dump truck at the local truck repair shop. Maybe I'll get you some pictures of that. Mike And here is a picture of a Dodge pick-up. I know you like them too. It was driven to where it sits. I think that was just last year. The owner took his drivers test on it. He is probably 75 years old now.
  3. Funny you should ask. I took some pictures. I had edited the post above. It says 5969.
  4. Your truck looks great. Good work. I bought two B73 emblems at the Spring Melt last year. They were odd things to have at a fire truck flea market. It is a shame they are not B75 emblems. I don't either model. Mike
  5. Very good, young Vinny. Here is a picture of the serial number plate from the door. Says its an F747. Here is a picture of the sticker on the door frame. I can't read the model number. Whatever ran down it ruined it. I can read U then T 5956. I could not find the serial number on the frame. I scraped around on it, but couldn't find anything. Sorry.
  6. Here is another picture of the ugly stepsister of the R model. That driver's door sure does look funny. The truck had belonged to Scout Trucking of Spring City, PA. Scout was an off-shoot of Jones Motors. Someone had posted a bunch of pictures of Jones Motors and Scout trucks last year sometime. It currently resides about 0.1 miles from my house at Stainless Corporation.
  7. Saw this truck down the road at the steel plant. It is their jocky truck. If anyone likes this kind of thing I can post some more pictures. Mike
  8. If you can't sell the truck whole I am interested in the cab. I have a H613 that i could.use some parts for. I would like.to.see the whole.truck saved, but i don't have room for another truck. If you are not in a hurry to sell it you should advertise it in double clutch. I am also interested in the parts manual, but only if you can't sell the whole truck. Thanks, Mike yarnallvmd@hotmail.com 610 764 8283
  9. It might be. My F715 has a naturally aspirated 864. Mike
  10. Does anyone know what size V8 a CF719 has in it. I am looking at a 1972 with an automatic. Thanks Mike
  11. I can't make it. Get me some good deals. This new A model is stripped. Mike
  12. It looks brand new. Great job.
  13. Great story and great pictures. Glad it was a good birthday. I'll be 42 in July. I do like that cat. I've been trying.to buy a D2 for quite a few years now. Mike
  14. Thanks for the compliments. It is a really nice truck. Dean and Earl Feller are really good guys. They let me crawl all over their trucks and take pictures of everything. The nicest truck is that KB6. I'm surprised it fit in the trailer with the rear tires on it. I wasn't planning on putting a pump back on the A model. We are going to take the bumper and brackets of my A20 parts truck and put that on. It will shorten it up a foot. I already have the top of the tank cut out so I can put a hot tub in it and I am getting a keg system ready the for compartments on the tail board. It will make a great party truck. Ok, I'm just kidding about that. If it didn't have the body molded into the cab I would take the body off, shorten the frame and put a little flat bed on it, but I guess it will stay the way it is. Mike
  15. you'd need a mighty long garage for the B30. It says its 160 ft long.
  16. One more. A nice KB6 in a storage trailer.
  17. Thanks,and me too. Here's another one. A rough 4000 or 4070A.
  18. Even more IH's. There are a lot more if you want to see them. Mike

  24. My father and I set out in his Superliner at 3:30am on Saturday to pick up the A30 that a few bad eggs on here convinced me to buy. It was about 375 miles from Boyertown, PA to Dover, OH. We arrived just after 11am. The truck was already loaded on a step deck to transfer to my father's step deck. The sellers, Earl and Dean Feller, along with their helper, Chris, had gotten the truck running and ready to load. We looked it over and it looked pretty good. It is built on a commercial chassis, but has very nice body work done by American. The front mounted pump and much of the equipment was removed by the fire company when the Feller's bought it in 1996. The odometer reads 13035 miles. I don't know if the odometer works. There are a few spots of rust, but nothing severe. After the truck was loaded and chained down we got a tour of the International collection. I had be told they had a field full of trucks. None of the others were Macks, but I like other brands, too. More pictures to follow, Mike
