  6. My father and I set out in his Superliner at 3:30am on Saturday to pick up the A30 that a few bad eggs on here convinced me to buy. It was about 375 miles from Boyertown, PA to Dover, OH. We arrived just after 11am. The truck was already loaded on a step deck to transfer to my father's step deck. The sellers, Earl and Dean Feller, along with their helper, Chris, had gotten the truck running and ready to load. We looked it over and it looked pretty good. It is built on a commercial chassis, but has very nice body work done by American. The front mounted pump and much of the equipment was removed by the fire company when the Feller's bought it in 1996. The odometer reads 13035 miles. I don't know if the odometer works. There are a few spots of rust, but nothing severe. After the truck was loaded and chained down we got a tour of the International collection. I had be told they had a field full of trucks. None of the others were Macks, but I like other brands, too. More pictures to follow, Mike
  7. Welcome to the forum. My father bought a '75 RL712LST out of California a couple of years ago. He loves the thing. There are quite a few of the long nose lovers on the forum. It would be great to see some pictures. To post a picture go down to "more reply optionns" in the right lower corner. Then "choose files" in the left lower corner. Pick your picture from your files. Then "add reply" in the center on the bottom. The yellow and black truck is my father's RL. Mike
  8. I guess I should get my extinguishers tested. I sold a 707 out of a B85 to someone on this forum. He has a B70 that he wants to put it in. Maybe he will see this and change his mind. I have another complete 707, but I think I will keep it as a back-up. Mike
  9. Great truck. That is definitely too far away. Just brought that a model.home yesterday though. 700 miles round trip. I wouldn't have bought it if i knew it was that far. I'll post pictures tomorrow. Mike
  10. I have bought several B model manuals at the truck show in Macungie. They are big, thick books with green covers. You should make the pilgramage. Mike
  11. I told myself that I was not buying any more firetrucks unless they had some local connection. No chance I am driving that home. It is 500 miles and the brakes don't work.
  12. You made a lot of progress. Everything always takes longer than expected. You'll have a really nice truck when you are done. Keep at it. Mike
  13. You guys are bad influences. My dad and I are going for it on Saturday. Please send me that picture if you find it. Mike
  14. B422's are not that rare. Someone can tell you how many were built. The red one is not mine. It belongs to a friend named Phil Mack, no joke. I bought the orange and blue B42 from him and most of our parts and the grey McCormick Deering 15-30 from his father. I took leversole to see them. The blue B model in the pole barn with the hood up is also a B422.
  15. Thanks for coming. It was great to meet you. We thought the building was full a long time ago, but we keep stuffing more trucks in. It takes two people to park them. Mike
  16. Underdog's V8 Superliner.
  17. This is Underdog's with a 400 V8. It is pretty nice.
  18. I doubt it. I could look. It's not at my house.
  19. It is an A30H. It is not built on a fire truck chassis. The front mounted pump has been removed. Of course it has hydraulic brakes. If it had air I would be much more excited. I've been doing a lot of thinking about it. It is 26.5 feet long. Sure would take up a lot of room in the pole barn. I would have to put something out to put it in. Probably a 1970 R685 with a bad injector pump. Mike
  20. 1975 R685. The cab is pretty rusty. Only supposed to have 200,000 miles on the engine. It is not mine and it is for sale. Mike
  21. The Transtar is pretty high on my list too. I drove it to Indiana last year. 400 big cam Cummins with a double overdrive 13 speed. The green Superliner with the v8 is Underdog's. The the other Superliner is my father's as are a much of the other trucks. Thanks for posting the pictures, leversole.
  22. Did you see what you need on anything at my house? I can cut it off for you. Thanks for posting the pictures. The B615 looks great. I love the hard noses. Mike
  23. Congrats on the baby. Just mount a car seat in the bunk and you'll be good to go. I'm sure the little lady will go for that. Good Luck.
  24. It is always father's day weekend. This year it is Friday June 15 and Saturday June 16. I'll be taking trucks up on the 14 and taking them home on the 17. It would be nice if more people were around on Sunday because a lot of people show up looking for trucks. See you there. Mike
  25. I sent you a personal message. Please call me. Michael Yarnall 610 764 8283
