  13. From the album: Mack trucks from Haukes Kekerdom The Netherlands

This is a Foden FG8/15 (eight wheeler) truck (english brand). The first new truck of Haukes after WW II. Togehter with the Macks, the Fodens were the trucks of Haukes that you could see everywhere in Holland in those days but also in Germany or Belgium. Haukes replaced the NR Macks of the US Army with these trucks and for over maybe 10 years almost all the fleet where Foden trucks. But there were a few Mack NR trucks left and Mr Haukes decided around 1958 to acquire a Mack N61 wich came in the spring of 1959. At the same time he bought a Foden FG8/15 six wheeler which had to compete with the Mack N61 to see what truck was the best for Haukes at that time. Of course Mack won this test and from 1959 until around 1975 almost all new trucks where Macks.

6 or 7, i'm not sure, Mack N61 trucks standing in a row with a couple of B Macks at a sunday at the companyground in 1963(?)

A picture of 2 macks, a b61 and a n61, and a Mercedes. One of the Haukes brothers founded a truckingcompany in germany close to the border with Holland. As there was no mack dealer in germany in these days he accuired some mercedes trucks. Here you see one of them at the companyground of the dutch Haukes Company in Kekerdom

Haukes also had 1 FTF truck. FTF stands for Floor's Truck Fabriek what means Floor's Truck Factory. The comany of Floor was the dutch mack dealer from around 1950 until 1972. They also build there own trucks and trailers from around 1965 until 1995. Today they only building trailers. Like your american trucks FTF was also custom build. Besides the chassis and a few other parts all the rest of the truckparts came from other subcontractors. The engine was a 8 V Detroit diesel with a 13 speed fuller gearbox. The cabine came from motor panels in england. The axels were also american made but i'm not sure wich brand they were. This truck was as strong as mack truck but not suitable for long distance traffic. It was a specialised truck like the hayes or pacific. The driver on the picture is my uncle, the same one who used to drive on the Mack LMSW tow truck haukes had after WW II from the US Army

As you can see at the picture one of the Mack DM600 is loading bricks at the brickfactory in kekerdom. The crane can pick up around 100 bricks at once. These days the bricks are loaded at the factory at pallets and there are like a 200 or more on each pallet and the brick trucks these days have cranes who can pick up such pallets easily.
  18. From the album: Mack trucks from Haukes Kekerdom The Netherlands

This truck at the picture was the last mack that Haukes bought. It was a Mack DM600 Dumptruck with a automatic gearbox. Haukes bought a serie of 3 mack DM600 Dumptrucks and closed the chapter of buying new mack trucks. The volvo's did replaced the macks because they where cheaper but according to the drivers the mack was a better and stronger truck.
  19. From the album: Mack trucks from Haukes Kekerdom The Netherlands

This was the first Mack DM600 that Haukes used. It was also the last Mack model haukes bought. Haukes didn't have much of this model from mack. I believe there were only 6 of them.
  20. From the album: Mack trucks from Haukes Kekerdom The Netherlands

Around 1975/1976 the Haukes brothers decided to change the company colours from bride red into bride yellow. A couple of macks where repainted into this new colour yellow. As you can see also on the picture mack is losing ground. The first volvo's has arrived and from around 1976 all the new trucks where volvo's because macks where to expensive due to the high dollar rates
  21. From the album: Mack trucks from Haukes Kekerdom The Netherlands

This Mack B43S was bought as a used truck. At the local dutch mack dealer the engine was replaced by a Detroit Diesel V6 engine with a Allison automatic gearbox. Some of the used ones also got a new original mack cabin.
  22. From the album: Mack trucks from Haukes Kekerdom The Netherlands

  23. From the album: Mack trucks from Haukes Kekerdom The Netherlands

This is a Mack B61S loaded with 20 tons of bricks at the brickfactory in kekerdom. This truck was fitted with a other kind of local build dutch cabine than most of the haukes macks.
