  1. I was considering chroming my hubcaps like Matt did, but I’m probably gonna paint them gray along with the rims I was fixing on doing the spokes green, but up in the air with that also, I might paint the spokes, black and the rims gray not sure what I’m going to do yet since that’s the way most factory trucks came back in those days
  2. Ha ha Amazon it’s amazing what they carry or what they can get. I even went on there and found various shapes and sizes and colors for toggle switch extensions.

  4. Well, I hate to say this Paul, but I really think he moved onto greener pastures married that chick from Israel and I think something happened to him over there since the country is always fighting with somebody bob
  5. Excellent thanks for that. I haven’t decided what I’m gonna do yet since I’m not a big fan of chrome depending on what it is, I might just paint everything including the mirrors and brackets as I mentioned the stock Mack hubcaps are probably out of the question. It’s nice to know I could use them if I wanted to and 10 four on the air start and spokes excellent combination
  6. got the same story years ago buying a 47 --45 model harley in a baskit engine was supposed to be rebuilt,,,when i got it together---oil rings were so worn out,,,engine was actually throwing oil out the tailpipe,,,,had to have it inspected by DMV officer,,,dont remember why,,,but i was embarrassed about this thing smoking and told him i was going to drive it home right way and pull it apart,,,bob
  7. Man my wife did Reno Tahoe oddisy relay race this weekend she comes back exhausted cranky and dirty I had to pick her up at the airport yesterday and I tried my best to be civil all I heard was raw raw raw all she did was bitch at me about everything finally after 10 minutes of biting my lips wound up in a screaming match did the best I could to avoid conflict couldn’t take her any longer got into a screaming match anyway trying to avoid it as hard as I could… totally blew a fuse anyway… she always comes back with the same pissy attitude… bob
  8. Well, I pull loaded down triple trailers across 80 top out at 66 miles an hour I would be pissing myself to be able to pass anybody flat ground or hill… my personal opinion on jacking up your engine is like mentioned very old and hard to get parts for I wouldn’t do it, but each his own If you really need more power, I would go for a 600cummins Bob
  9. Could actually pick up a couple about 200 miles from there I’m sure it’s a lot more than bolting them on that would make it too easy … bob
  10. Chevy41 was going to help me get a couple of hubs that hold the hubcaps shipped out here… but he disappeared shortly after bob
  11. They probably can’t find the right clips. The back is easy. I’m thinking of putting them on my truck. Just have to make up my own clips Just a thought I don’t know about actually do it
  12. yes, a good part of them have air start and spoke wheels look like they’re ready for some hard work and Geoff,,, I really like the looks of them on the trailers. I grew up in New England worked in a truck tire.shop in 73 and that’s all I ever worked on was split rim spoke wheels… bob
  13. Yes, Mecho, I’m sure we were all wondering the same thing. What does that supposed to mean ????? Sounds like a Jimmy…. Older Cummings .. fan had pretty loud howl to them I ran a lot of them back on the 70s…
  14. what do they say,,,,pictures worth a thousand words,,,bob
  15. That sounds dangerous, but pallet Jack almost look like it was made to fit under neath the triplex I got real lucky. The pilot shaft went right in to the disc so easy I couldn’t believe what I was looking at.
  16. Hell thanks for that missed this one somehow bob
  17. I was wondering that myself last couple of times I’ve been back there. I noticed there’s not that money around anymore. Everything went to.budds years back. That’s all there was … spoke wheels on everything.
  18. Actually, just this one corner is the worst part the nose rest of the repairs that will not take anywhere near as long And duck I have not heard that tune in years I remember what it came out I was driving a 62 impala I only paid 135 bucks for good luck finding one for that price now… bob
  19. Hoping to be priming and painting the nose before the weather starts going south on me ….. I’ve been doing a pretty good job of putting a shoe up my own ass lately….as soon as I get this big mess cleaned up rest of the body work will be pretty much coasting and yes Mecho,,,,, 10 four on the phony president with absolutely nothing to say … bob
  20. Oh wait a minute unless they’re in a glass of beer

  22. I’ll be laying it on thick to begin with and then the back I will put on another coat for reinforcement Thanks for your interest and input fellas
  23. Yes, thanks I’m sure I’ll wind up reworking the same area at least twice. I was just out there looking at all that needs to be done. Next… first layer didn’t freeze up as straight as I would’ve hoped but I had a start somewhere. My goal is to do as much fiberglass as humanly possible without using a whole Lotta bondo
